I'm with Grandma 100% . . . the look on Theresa's face on the red carpet of the Disney Celebration says it all. When they weren't living together and married but supposedly sooo in love . . . that alone is the writing on the wall. They were supposed to go on their honeymoon in Italy no less and they called it off weeks before they leave . . they can't stand each other . . So happy to see Grandma back - she called out Gerry- she was not buying it. We demand Grandma be back for all the bachelor shows!!

Grandma is totally correct. My guess is that Theresa woke up, and realized that she allowed her overwhelming emotions get the better of her judgement, and went along with this rushed marriage. Having lived more than 4 decades as an adult with a whole range of different experiences, it’s more incumbent on every one to be have more self awareness, and good judgement as we age. That’s precisely what the golden years represent. This idea of throwing caution to the wind, and deciding on a marriage, when you have come out of a heady bubble, was so foolhardy, words fail me. Once one of them came back down to earth, all the realities of their lives became more daunting, or one or both of them, knew that the marriage would not work. They needed more time to truly evaluate all of their real life challenges, before taking vows.

Love your spunky Grandma!! She’s so honest and right on point! I’m definitely a fan of Grandma! Please bring her back! ❤️

Why get married and with a prenup! No reason for it. I don't know any people my age or older who are getting married. When both people have stable homes, stable and independent finances there's no reason. Don't get your panties in an uproar, God isn't dumb.

I think he picked Theresa once he found out she was an investor, and it appears that she may be a wealthy and intelligent woman.

This show is an insult to marriage and to grown women. Out of curiosity I watched the first 15 minutes of it and was disgusted by it. We women don't need to compete for a man who is at best ... 'meh' .... he got his ego stroked and some money out of the deal and so did the show's producers, at the expense of several vulnerable women making fools of themselves for their children and grandchildren to watch.

Creators of shows like this know how to peek at the interest of the average person and it's all about money and ratings with little regard for peoples feelings. You have all these men and women going crazy for someone they don't even know and most of the time break up after real life hits them right in the face when the show is over.

Great to see grandma's perspective 😊 I believe Theresa called it off possibly even after seeing his conversations and behavior with other women on the show. It was very obvious he was going for Leslie until the conversations with Theresa and his discovery that she's well off AND extremely savvy in finance. They still 'love each other' for the cameras! Leslie dodged a bullet!

Theresa was very much over it during the interview. She wasn't emotional or sad at all while Gerry seemed to get teary eyed. Remember they both know how to be married cause they were each married for decades. Something else was wrong.

They're still under contract with the Bachelor Franchise, so are very limited in what they can say. Will be curious what will be said when contracts expire. I think Theresa woke up and saw the truth and decided it wasn't for her. He looked more unhappy about it than she did. So glad she insisted on a pre-nup!

Hello ladies, I love your show. Why am I not surprise about Gerry and Theresa getting a divorce. I knew from day one that the marriage wasn't going to last. How two people in their 70s can be so completely delusional is beyond comprehension. Grow up. I didn’t like Gerry from the beginning. Fake through and through. The Bachelor show needs to shut down, yesterday.

Surprised yes, I was. But I also feel he was a quiet narcissist and I also feel at times she could be a little hardheaded. He was constantly letting them know what they wanted to hear but underneath it all he had ulterior motives no doubt, narcissistic people eventually get their way. I feel he should’ve never been on the show he’s probably got three or four different girlfriends, that’s how he comes across, good looking, tall, tan ,basically a really really good salesman. but I do feel sorry for her she truly came across as a homebody, I didn’t care for her, but I feel bad….

I agree with you Grandma. I think Theresa was all in and Gerry was so fake. All that crying and I just feel he was putting on an act the entire time. I agree holding hands and saying they are both going to go out and find love and that they still love each other is a lie. I think Theresa saw the real Gerry after spending time with him and they just didn't click anymore. She likes to eat healthy, and he doesn't. She exercises and I think he plays pickleball. When she visited him in Indiana they went out to bars and met all his friends. I don't think that is Theresa's lifestyle. Plus, he wanted her to quit her job in the interview at his house and she made a face implying, dream on. And I don't trust him and possibly he is seeing someone else, but Theresa would not reveal something like that. Very few couples on the Bachelor ever make it to marriage or longevity. So, what's new.

IMO, I think the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise is a publicity/marketing ploy for the pure means of show biz profit, with some rare couples that actually did/do fall in love for real. I, too, am surprised that their marriage ended much earlier than what we anticipated it!

Grandma is right, this is all nonsense. I think Teresa was invested in the relationship, him, not so much. He seemed as if was acting, and not doing so convincingly. They should have worked out their living location before the wedding. If they were truly committed their families would have supported them living anywhere. If you are committed to a marriage you find the compromise, commitment overcomes location in my opinion, you move for the right person. This was a mismatch.

He lives in the middle of nowhere, while she lives not far from New York, and can take the train and enjoy restaurants, etc. She'd have to give up everything. I think he was expecting her to pay for all their traveling that he wanted to do.
