Instead of looking for love, many go on bachelor shows for other reasons. (fame, excitement, travel, etc.) Sadly, producers manipulate contestants, their dates, etc. all for ratings...It was revealed many weeks ago that Gerry & Theresa weren't together...They should not have let producers rush them into marriage so quickly... Once reality set in, they realized they were happier before the show, and are better off as friends...

These two jokers who are not interested in sharing their life with someone but were only interested in being on television. They were unwilling to make any compromises and just wanted to have a lavish wedding paid for by TV even when they knew in their hearts that this wasn't going to last after ABC stopped paying them. The format of the show doesn't give the foundation for a healthy relationship. When you have to pay someone to fall in love you better believe they will for the camera ha! This man said I love you to multiple women in the course of only weeks of dating them and now they are blaming their break up on distance when both of them knew fully well that was not the main factor. I think that after they took away the magic of television, planned activities, roses, excitement, adventure , alcohol, money, and the luxury being thrown at them he got bored and missed the magic of TV and what could have been with the other ladies. I wish them all the best and hope they go away and create authentic lives they can truly enjoy. These two need some serious therapy ✌🏾

Gerry was never in love with Theresa at all. He started out being genuine with all the ladies and in the middle he was all over the place. Theresa was the one always hugging and kissing on him . The only time real contact for him was in fantasy suite and he was trying to hide that until she told everyone on TV. It really saddening me that Theresa was doing anything to get him, but that wasn't true love.

Let this be a message to the producers of the golden bachelor. The couple’s reasons for divorcing are very understandable because at this stage of life, most people want to be in a somewhat near proximity to their children and grandchildren. When the producers are selecting individuals to be part of the dating group, they should try to select the people from within a closer proximity to the golden bachelor. I, personally, was waiting for this to happen.

Yes, I saw that podcast. I think the fact she’s still working is causing some major issues. He wants a daily partner to hangout and have fun with, play pickle ball, etc., and he’s not getting that with her.

We love each other and are happy with each other..that's why were getting a divorce...WHAT?

Honestly, I’m not surprised. That wedding “show” was a joke. Didn’t they talk about where they were going to live?! And other very important things before? Matters that you talk about on the very first date. I never believed those tears. Making promises to each other without knowing the person fully? They seemed to be more interested and involved in the wedding “party” and her picking out the dress, honeymoon etc etc. I guess she got what she really wanted, the fancy wedding reception that she said she did not get with her first husband, which he had to leave right after due to military deployment. But she loved her husband, a good man. A long life she lived with him until he passed away. A huge expensive wedding reception does not guarantee a good marriage, or if you are really in love. She should remember her wedding with her Billy and be great full she had a very good husband, I’m sure, she has many good memories. I guess this bothers me because to see grown 73 year old people acting so foolishly.

I could have saved them a lot of time. Knew this wouldn’t last just didn’t realize it would be this fast. She probably figured out he is a hustler IMO.

Surprise surprise 😂 I got sucked in to the first couple episodes but it became clear the whole thing was fake and he was super creepy.

I can't believe people fall for crap tv, lol. The people that are on these shows are on it for the novelty of it or for publicity. People fall for this hook, line and sinker.

C'mon, Gerry cannot afford a home in New Jersey with his handyman salary.

Can't believe the marriage lasted this long. I was not a fan of Gerry. The show really promoted him as a person he never was. The women fell for this scam. Theresa is a very level-headed woman. Why she fell for him is a mystery. Also, most of the women were acting like teenagers over this loser.

Exactly! It’s so amazing that people don’t see this. He claimed to be a restauranteur, but that business closed down in the 80s. lol He’s a broke handyman. Nothing wrong with that, but she’s financially successful in finance. I think that’s why he picked her. If the reports are true he treated his ex like dirt. I’m glad she’s getting away. He’s a con man.

Wow, who could’ve seen that coming except for everybody.

In my opinion, they were putting it on a little too thick, today. They both came off as great big phonies.

If they are still in love, it really sounds ridiculous they are divorcing over not being able to find a place/state to agree to live. This really sounds unbelievable to me and makes me feel that this entire show and process is fake! They're telling people to make their marriages work, and 3 months into theirs they call it quits, wow, just WOW!

I recall Gerry being very gung-ho about making wedding plans right away after he had chosen her as his potential bride. I thought it was too soon, because of their ages, and the amount of family concerns that needed to be addressed. Sure they are not getting any younger, but they could have taken even a few months to make life altering decisions that might affect both families. If things were okay in both camps, those decisions could have been easily made. Something occurred in the time between their marriage, and the present time….only 3 months. I had read about a couple of weeks ago, that they hadn’t moved in together. Knew something was up. Maybe they realized that they are meant to be friends….nothing more.

Disappointing news for all the people who believed in them and were so happy for them. What The Golden Bachler show is over and so is their marriage. Was this part of the Reality TV Show script? I'm not watching the show anymore.

If you watched their interview on Dear Shandy a week or so ago, you could read between the lines that things weren’t going all that great. At that point, it seemed to me that Gerry was seeing too many hurdles, but that Teresa was still halfheartedly, wanting to keep trying.

😊 I knew they should have never married in the first place she was always threatening and the other ladies come on now that's a big question sign 🤔

Divorcing likely because of money. They could have stayed together and just travelled back & forth. What is so weird here- 3 months?! Didn’t you talk about all of this beforehand. Jeeez

She found out he’s a broke handyman. His restaurant closed in the 80s. She didn’t want to split her nest egg with his kids or support him financially. I’m glad she got out.
