    `I just love your pickin and your sound . You seem to have discovered that precision and pacing trump speed every time . Great tunes don't require speed ... Bill Emerson once told me its about the space between the notes that counts most ... you seem to have figured that out ... great job and so musical ... thanks

  • @Marcel-Arendsen

    @Marcel-Arendsen

    10 ай бұрын

    Thank you for your comment. indeed, my focus is not on playing fast but cleanly and with good tone. If you do that consistently, it will become part of your "system" and you will also notice this when you play faster. Bill Emerson is probably right, it's in the distance between the notes, but I find it elusive to tell exactly what it is. Cheers, Marcel

    Hi there, thank you for your nice e-mail. Well, I've been to the States a few times to visit family in Spartanburg (SC) and NJ and met a lot of amazing musicians in both plaees. The US is a very beautiful country and most Americans are very nice and helpful. Amersfoort is an hour's drive from where I live (Zoetermeer). It is a beautiful and wooded area. Come by and I'll show you. All the best and thanks again for your message, Marcel
