Loved Tim Riley but was glad to see Jeff Chapman take over after Tim retired. What 2 great Bass singers. The tenor Chris is great to add to Gold City. Then they added a lead Josh who is great so there all set. The prayers for all your travel's. Of course, Danny is a great singer & I bet putting most of this together. ❤🙏

Tim Riley is obviously one of the best Basses. His Chest Register is so clear that some popular Bass Singers can't even do it with the Fry Register(for example)

I was searching around for bass singers and Aaron McCune caught my ear and to me sounds alot like Tim Riley, actually replaced him in the band. But man, hearing ole Tim sing this song is flat out crazy bass HAHAHA. Flat out Amazing! This dude brought Bass singing to a whole new level!

I've known a lot of bass singers during my career, but none any better than Tim Riley. When I think of low voices, I also think of Paul Downing. I did some arrangements for Paul back in the 80s, and when he called on the telephone and said, "Steve," I knew immediately it was either Paul Downing or God. Not to slight George, Rex, J.D., Ken, Big Chief, or any of the other great bass singers, but Tim was always not only low, but smooth and he could blend well with the group especially in the higher register. It has been an honor to know and work with Gold City all these years.

I always have loved this song.

I love this song and this quartet. I think after The Cathedrals retired in 99 this is the next best one around I went to the NQC this year and met Tim!!! He was so nice and personable he shook my hand it was great!!!!

Can't wait to see Gold City this Friday in PA!!! Gunna be awesome!!!!!!!!!

@4291992 Yes, I did! They weren't doing a video from that concert...only audio for a presumed live album. I'm not sure if it's still in the works or not...to my knowledge it is. At the moment, the latest DVD is out is the NQC2008 DVD with Steve, Jon, Danny, and Aaron.
