Not only his depth but you can understand every syllable. Listen up folks. This is REAL bass singing. You don't bury the other parts, you give them a good foundation to build their tones on. The bass voice is the most powerful of the octaves. Tim undetstood this more than any other bassist. Everyone is going to get their shot at showing out, but the tone of the blend (harmony) is what makes outstanding vocals. It's something most groups never get.

Yes, Mr. Riley has the most extraordinary harmonic tone you name it he has it. Truly a God given talent.

I admire his deep and harmonically rich vocals. When he bursts into the deepest notes, the zone washes over me. Tim, to many more years and to many more songs!

Absolutely the greatest Bass singer (Tim Riley) and Tenor singer (Brian Free) in history right here in one group on one of the greatest songs in Gospel music history!!!

That G1 melts like butter at the end...Tim is the man!

This is one of my all time favorite songs. Tim effortlessly hits a low G1 at the end. No one can do it any better than Tim. Love it!

I've spoken with Tim Riley at length about his vocal range. He said there isn't a song he sings where he sings his lowest note possible. He said the lowest note he sings is the ending note on "By Your Grace for Your Glory". This just proves the amazing bass Tim Riley is. I am no doubt his biggest fan.

I admire the Tennor Voice because his capabilities to sing that high and clear is imaculate

I met Tim at the NQC a year ago and he sang a C1 for me! He is awesome

@@onecolossalrubikscube2554 That's not really true. Some humans can sing a C1 without subharmonics, but it is incredibly rare. Tim is just a very rare breed of bass singer.

There comes a time in every1's life when you need to STOP and just think. Things have been going awesome for me and my family, yet still, this song has made me stop and think, whats really important to me, people around me, future planning, the love I have for those around me. I have had this song on repeat for an hr for my morning wake up. The power of positive songs is incredible. Bass just makes it more awesome. I agree with glh104753. Tim is super smooth. No sir - that is 25 year old Josh singing tenor from OK. He sang with them for a very short time

they say his lowest note he sings is by your grace for your glory, but if u listen to gods building a church towards the end he goes to hit that note sounds like he has trouble hitting it as if thats bout bottom . if he can get lower i never heard it . the closest ive ever heard to it is when he ends "everyday" with eric bennett at nqc and they fall at the end. so idk thats my opinion

that other voices in the second half are disturbing his golden bass voice

I have never heard of Glenn MIller...Who does he sing with? One other question, what does rip mean? I have heard that term before just have no idea what it means! I agree, to some peoples surprise, Russian basses aren't the be all to end all of bass singers! To prove that point, Tim Storms one a vocal search to sing the E1 on a choral piece with the ST Petersburg Choir in Russia! either the so called greats didn't try for this classical piece or they aren't all they are cracked up to be?!

When I say the guy can "rip" (referring to Tim Riley and Glenn Miller etc) I suppose the best description would be clear resonance...there's just something much different with them. The best russian basses have it too, although after about Ab1 or G1 they go into a weird "OH" sound and it sounds too covered/weird. Riley doesn't do that.
