You can tell if it's darker, 18k is slightly darker, and solid 24k gold is significantly darker, but who cares, I'm here for the lamps

Durability really only come into play based on how wide the ring is. ( aka MM size). If fairly wide/thick than it will pretty much hold up against anything. ( Thou might be a bit more easy to scratch l) And some folks say it also matter which finger it's on.

Because your gold probably has a much higher purity factor there is still different values on nuggets with good clarity and higher purities just because ours says 24kt on it doesnt mean it will look as fine or as golden yellow as gold harvested on another part of Terra! Lot's to do with geological processes! Look up the boot of Coronado a massive mexican nugget with one of the highest purities in the world and it ways a metric shit ton!

24k pure gold being too soft is a myth. Look at other videos with people with solid 24k gold jewelry, it's still holding strong, specially mene gold jewelry videos. I have a solid 24k ring and it's almost impossible to bend or deform.
