He makes the same on any chain regardless of purity. When you go up in purity, that price increases but strictly in gold value only. So if Braden sells a 14kt chain he makes say 300 bucks. Sells a 18kt makes 300 bucks. Make sense?

I did the math and it’s crazy the 10 karat Franco has 9.8 grams of pure gold in it while the 18k of the same dimensions has 23 grams of pure gold and the 22 karat has 31.8 grams of pure gold in it while all 3 being the same dimensions so a 22k Franco of the same Dimensions as a 10k Franco has almost 4x the amount of pure gold in it... that’s crazy when u think about it

Good call on the 14k for an everyday wear. The color difference between 14 and 18 is not really noticeable and the durability is well worth going with 14. And I like that you always say it your opinion and go with what works for you. Jewelry is a 100 percent luxury item, you dont need gold to live and so always go with what you like. Keep doin what you're doing.

Durability between 14kt and 18kt is very minimal. Any big jeweler knows that. They just sell more 14kt because well, it’s more affordable. It is said that what will damage a 18kt will most likely damage a 14kt chain as well. That being said your 18kt may scratch easier but who cares about scratches on either. Over time it’s bound to happen and you just get it polished and it’s new again. I’ve had my 14kt Franco and pendant for 2 weeks wear it everyday there a few scratches on the pendant behind, there would be a few more on 18kt. Big whop haha

I own only 22k ones...they're the best in value and looks !!❤️...wishes from India

@Leila Barzola 24k is the purest form of gold It can be seen as coins or bars with 999 or 995 gold tag line As far I know, 24k gold is not much preferred for jewellery. As it’s not that strong enough to last long as jewellery usually will have lots of minute detailing and many tiny pieces are joined together with precision to make that beautiful chains,earrings,rings etc . So they mix certain other elements with gold to give it that extra strength. The percentage of other elements will vary and that’s why we have 22k,18k,14k gold jewellery. 24k gold is nothing but jackpot💰 Highly valued in market.

@Leila Barzola oh thank you for your kind words ..yes ur right ...24k is very soft and some of them can be just turned into sheets as thin as paper. More the elements added , lesser is the value of gold but inversely it will be getting stronger and stronger.Also that glitter/shine/colour of gold will also reduce/fade as more and more stuffs gets added with it. Hence it gets less expensive.

I like 10k gold I got a 6mm hollow Miami Cuban bracelet it’s hollow yes I know but I truly can’t tell the difference i can tell by the feel it is durable as hell with a box clasp I love it to death

You would probably notice the hollow difference by physically holding a solid one with the same length and chain type. If the weight isn't very noticable it's probably just partially hollowed. Or you can always put it on the scale and do the math with a bit of research

I have all kinds of gold purity’s I have 18karat 14karat and 10 karat. I find that even tho 10karat is the lowest. It is the most durable I have an 18 karat gold ring I don’t wear it often or damage it in any way and the shape got bent just from putting it on and off. Same with a bracelet I have normal use for bracelet but my 18 karat is dented and the 10karat I have is still perfect condition and still shines like it should. Haven’t taken it off in couple years. On another note I love your videos and you know a lot about gold and you definitely know what your talking about keep up the good work !

I love 14kt gold. I think in terms of color it´s more elegant and I love the champagne hue than the strong yellow hue of almost pure gold. And 14kt gold looks so good in the cool skins

Not really, 14k is the normal jewellery that you buy. Nothing sweet about its, it’s just cheaper. If you dislike gold you can go for better options then since your item with 14k is well almost not golden anymore

14k is a bit less then 60%, or 58.3%, which look at that is low! If you buy something and you only get a bit more then 50% of that material is not usually a good deal. Some cases require mixed materials but what you are saying is not true because safety at work prohibits you from wearing your jewellery while working! In any normal scenario you will not damage a 18k gold or 20+ and the point is, 20+ looks a loot better! If you have just 1% of gold in your ring, it will still lose its shine and get scratched by normal wearing! 14k is consider normal, nothing special. Just a bit of color on the ring! You can go full cheap with less but don’t pretend that’s for anything else but money, durability has nothing to do with it!

Love me some Jacoje but you failed to mention 10k is that strongest of them all. Ppl that wanna wear gold like 10k because it will last though what most other karats won’t. Like scratches and bends and things like that. Selling 14k and up is just more profitable. 10k is for ppl that like a stronger gold. I wear a 14k everyday Miami cuban but I got a 10k Miami bracelet to stand up to the everyday stuff. Not to mention most rappers have 10k because of its price difference. Bigger pieces when your gold doesn’t cost 50$ a gram 😹

Tell me about it dude it took me at least 2 months but we all get there wearing some nice Jacoje gold.

I was in china town sf and I went into a jewelry shop there. He said the only gold he sells is 24k because Chinese only wear the purist gold. Idk if that was suppose to be an insult to me, for I was wearing my jacoje mariner chain when I walked in. Plus I’m not Chinese. But I’m more than happy with 14k. And if it’s ever within my budget n the future, but an 18k would be nice.

Maybe it was maybe it wasn’t. I don’t know about China I’m not Chinese but in my country (that is very religious and superstitious) wearing fake gold or real gold that isn’t pure gives you bad luck. Of course it’s just superstition but most people truly believe to the bone 😂

Even 22k would last you a lifetime if you take care of it. The thicker it is, the stronger it is. If you're a laborer like me and find yourself rolling around on the floor or in a crawlspace just tuck that chain in your shirt quick and you're good to go.

I have a men's Hematite intaglio (Roman Soldier) in a setting that is the same color as the highest-rated gold, 22ct., I think. However, where my finger closes in on the ring when I make a fist, I'm pretty sure I see base metal. The rest of the ring is surprisingly bright gold, and it has kept its luster for many years without any polishing or care. I've had it for forty years at least, and I have no idea how long my dad had it. It is not a very heavy ring, and someone told me it looks to be art deco. My questions are, do they coat or plate the 22ct. gold over inferior metals? How would that affect the value of a ring? Thanks so much.

If you really are seeing a base metal, then it could be gold filled. Gold filled is a minimum of 5% gold whereas gold plated is less than 0.05%...considering it's over 40 years old it might possibly be gold filled but don't count me on that. Sounds like an absolute gorgeous ring...Greek and Roman intaglio make for some of my favorite rings, especially with a real high k gold

don't worry its not soft at all. especially as a chain nothing will happen. i have a 24k 2.5 mm box chain and its still perfect like the day i got it.

I think it's probably better to get a 10k necklace or bracelet. Because it won't break your skin out.😁😊👍🏾
