To people who have been to Japan, how difficult or stressful did you find your trip as someone who only speaks English? I really wanna go but I'm worried a little since I don't speak Japanese.

I went to Japan not too long ago and I also didn’t speak Japanese. In bigger cities, such as Tokyo and Osaka, a lot of people could speak English or understand it so it was easy to communicate. In smaller cities, people were willing to use a translator to communicate. Overall it was easy to communicate with them. I recommend having a translator app if you plan on going to Japan :)

Like the comment above me stated, a lot of people in larger cities will understand you better while in smaller cities it is more common to use a translator app. But almost all signs in Japan have an English translation so it is pretty easy to navigate. Technology helps a lot. But many people are very considerate if you only speak English.😁
