Patrick Patricia here. This music is king. Thank you.
When I listen to this music I remember my father in the 90's when he was out of work because the factory closed. He started looking for work in anything because there was no work in his trade. I was in elementary school and my sister was in high school. I remember one Christmas when my dad couldn't be with us because he had to work and we barely had enough to make ends meet. I feel like my dad was Rocky. Now that he passed away two weeks ago, and I found out his cat was sick with cancer, I feel like life hit me hard, but you have to pick yourself up and keep going. I love you dad.

Your father sounds like a good man, someone who did his duty to take care of his family, but not as a burden, but out of love. My condolences on his loss. My father was a big fan of boxing and this song reminds me of him as well. I wish more people knew about and recognized his personal greatness, something which came with no fame, but simply because he was a quiet decent hardworking man who made the lives of people around him better. All we can do is remember and take the lives and examples of what was good in them and repeat that ourselves. I wish you and your family well. RIP to your father.

It is with great sadness, I say we lost Apollo (Mr Carl Weathers) earlier today. I was listening to this loop this morning during a workout. In the afternoon I learned he passed "peacefully". "It's not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you get hit, and keep moving forward." Some people think the Rocky movies are cheesy, and maybe they are, but I think they set a great example for how to live your life. "If you know what you're worth, then go get what you're worth." That speech in Rocky 6 really shakes me up every time. I just wrote up what I wanna change for 2024, the things I'm letting go of (I quit weed five weeks ago, I'm cleaning up my diet one snack at a time so it's sustainable, I'm gonna stop buying booze and slowly use up what I have, then quit for good) and the things I wanna learn and do. By this time next year I'll be substance free, drinking only water, studying my craft every day, and teaching tai chi like I always dreamed. When I listen to this music, especially on a loop, it feels all but goddamn inevitable. Win or lose, I'm going the distance baby

REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED EVERY ONE OF YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS AND YE SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST!!!! 15 The Lord hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the Lord, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more. 16 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack. 17 The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

I went to see Rocky at the theatre in 76 when I was 12 and it changed my life. I decided I wanted to be a modern day gladiator and started boxing for the next 4 years, then tae kwon do for 3 years and then kickboxing for 3 years. I even bought the Rocky soundtrack on LP in 76. This movie is in my top 3 favourite movie of all time cause it had such a huge impact on my life for the next 10 years after it came out in 76. This song still gives me goosebumps. ❤️

A true Champion is someone who gets up even when they can’t.
This song reminds me of my grandmother who passed away in 2019. She was Korean. She was born during the Japanese colonization era, got married when she was only 14. It was an arranged marriage. Later in life, my grandfather got a mistress because my grandma couldn't get pregnant and that broke her heart. She eventually left him after giving birth to his two children and became a working, single mom raising two kids by herself in 1950s South Korea. The widows, divorced women and single moms were looked downed upon with contempt. But she kept going for her kids. She eventually got promoted in her workplace and retired winning an award. She fought her battle. It was a good fight. It was not an easy fight. But it was worth it. Her kids turned out well. They are now successful and wealthy. On the other hand the kids of the mistress all went bankrupt. Rest in peace Grandma Mrs. Kim Pil Jeon. We love you, miss you and honor you. Thank you for fighting the good fight. This battle hymn really reminds me of you. 06232022

Beautiful story. My mother passed in 2020. I begged her to tell me who my Father was and she never did. She refused to tell me. After she passed I found paperwork that not only did she have another baby. I had a baby brother. But it turns out my Father was her Dad. He molested her and manipulated her as she got older. I was born with a bit of complications on my right calf part of my leg(incest) but it hurts me so much because I was so angry with her for years for not telling me. I took a DNA test with my uncle her brother. We are half siblings. Rest in peace Mom. I'm so sorry. I love you. 🙏🏻 My respects to your Grandma.

The quality of a movie is determined by its music. The Rocky series has so many banger songs that perfectly captured the vibe. That's how legends and iconic moments are born.
I love a good old film score, they add texture and depth to what is on screen, modern soundtracks just don't do that for me, this is so layered it never gets boring to listen

emotion, inspiration, motivation, this sound is divine
I’m not sure if Bill intended to make a theme/song that would transcend the movie(s), but he absolutely succeeded in doing so. This music will play with the heart strings at your very core when you’ve forgotten who you are and are lost and pick you up when there’s nothing left/numb/confused and are at bottom. It can also keep you going when you have motivation and take you to the finish line and then some. This music is the definition of a masterpiece.
@roquefortfiles

You should hear Bill Conti talk about making this theme. He really had no idea where it was going. He was making it up as he went. At one point got entirely lost and had no idea what to do. Let's go Up a key!!. So thsts what he did. The entire theme was nearly an accident
Some of the best music ever is found in the Rocky movies. It really makes you want to keep on taking the punches and saying you ain't scared, you're still standing, and you're going to win! David Goggins was inspired by Rocky. I am inspired by both.

When your life getting sick and tired, listen this!. Can get them over!
In life we meet our own demons, thus we fall on our knees, as we are only human beings. It is not bad to be on knees, down at that pit of soul, when there is no sun. It is sin to not get up, to breach limits of who we are. One, two, left, right, up, and down. This melody always brings joy to who I am.

But when Muhammad Ali took on Chuck Wepner, and Sylvester Stallone, witnessing this, locked himself away for three days power writing a script, and all the people that he gathered for this particular project. Wound up producing one of the most memorable and lovable characters not just in Hollywood but in American pop culture. And this music which is as synonymous with Rocky Balboa and Sylvester Stallone, is just as memorable as Isaac Hayes's theme from shaft is as synonymous with Richard Roundtree and the character he played John Shaft. As far as I'm concerned, when you hear Bill Conti's piece and all it's orchestration, it makes you think, raises your conscience, makes your heart pump a little harder, makes you feel so damned determined that you find yourself saying "If he can go the distance, I can go the distance." And eventually you realize two things. One, eventually we all realize whether we want to or not that if we want it bad enough sooner or later we all have to go the distance. And two, all of us are more than just a bunch of bums from the neighborhood.

Don't take this the wrong way, but it's much more interesting while making comments, to keep them short. Because people will only get bored, that's why I'm the only person replying remember less is more.

Rocky blasphemes God because only Jesus is the rock of your salvation, and balboa is a satanic spirit…. In real life Stallone used a demonic spirit of “automatic writing” to write this script in three days. Also Stallone is a Khazarian Judaism which is satanic. John 8:44
