Going off the Grid Ep10 Shed House Build Pt1
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
We finally got a start building our little Shed house/ Cabin. The video was getting quite long so we decided to make the build a two part video with the second video to be released in a week or so.
In this video we go through the steps of building a steel framed kit shed. Along the way we find things don't go quite to plan, but where there is a will there is a way. Many thanks to Judy my beloved wife for being such a great help and putting up with me.
See you on the next video coming soon!
Regards
Scott and Judy

Thank you Scott…..thank you Judy for another cool video where I got learn some things🙂 This may sound odd to some who read this, but to me, it’s so nice to to see husband and wife working together. I’ve been married 31yrs and I don’t know what I’d do without my wife. I see the same in you Scott, and in the the same with you Judy. You guys are soul mates❤️ Best wishes to you guys from David here in the States👍 Much love and respect guys😊

Judy, you are an amazing, strong woman who is capable of everything you put yourself up for. This was such a fantastic episode filled with a lifetime of memories. Please consider rewatching this video together 24 months from now. I suspect you will both be blown away by what you’ve accomplished. 👍👍😎👍👍

Poor Nala, she was looking so hopeful when you put the steak in the pan. She followed Judy in the hope she might get some. Once again, good vlog on shed construction.

She got some, always does :) Thank you!
Scott, you might want to get a rattle can of cold galvanize spay to protect your welds. Its sad that you have to go to the trouble of changing brackets to fit in the right orientation, but that's what sometimes happens with kits like yours. It's good to see that you are making good progress on your home construction, and I'm glad to see that your wife is handling it better. I wish you continued success on this project.

I sprayed it with black zinc, then painted over with silver epoxy, but I edited that part out. Yes we shouldn't have to fix parts but you are right, It happens and as long as I can fix the problem I just accept it. I show those problems so people looking to do the same can learn from my experience. Thank you for your feedback!
Great to see how much progress you've both made. As someone that really doesn't like heights, I very much feel Judy's emotions about being up high, dealing with large-ish bits of metal balanced off that platform. Huge congrats to her for pushing through and it was possible to see her confidence increase in the timelapse of putting the roof beams up. The drone shot at the end to show all that success was great. best wishes to you both and thanks for sharing the journey with us.

It's nice to see Ranch Dressing finally make it to Australia. When I lived in Alice Springs we had to try and surreptitiously "import" it. It was banned due to import restrictions for eggs.

I'll tell you something, Scotty, your wife, Judy, is way more braver than me. I would never have gotten up there. It seems the older I get, the more heights bother me. As somebody who doesn’t like heights, I’m learning. I like to say I respect what can happen at heights, and take my time to get comfortable, my employment does put me at height, where I have too trust scaffolding. last year it was hanging scaffolding at 7 levels
@ScottTurnerformeindustrious
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment Helen. Yes heights are not for everyone. Tricky for me too at times.
Depending how you guys I might be tempted to do the same thing in 5 years, maybe in south Australia somewhere. Either a shed like your or 3 40ft shipping containers in a U shape with a large open area in the middle most likely will be covered for some shade, solar and water collection. Great work, keep it up.
