Sadly, per the novelization (which is canon), the lil dude thought Kong giving him food was a trick at first, and then was afraid that Scar King would find out he had eaten, since the old bastard controlled the other apes' food supply, keeping them too weak to fight him.

The way Suko tricked Kong into being attacked by drownviper only to singlehandedly decapitate the creature and with ease too. Not to mention Kong fought most of Sukos brethren before it and even offered Suko food showing Kongs compassion, and at the end he slowly acknowledges Kong and thinks to himself “he…may just save us from Skar king”

This thing would’ve been titanic if it appeared in the Skull Island film

Some say Parrot Frog and Drownviper were unnecessary, but that's not true Parrot Frog set the tone for the movie, with Kong looking for others like him and Drownviper scene showed that Suko is smart too (he lured Kong to it) and later allowed for Kong and Suko bonding moment

Nozuki appeared in the first movie and was also pretty quickly killed and in this movie the flock of them appeared, hunting hell hawks

Kong fighting a Giant Cave Bear in the Hollow Earth as well as Gorosaurus would be epic to see in a Kong 2 solo movie.

@@Somebody67210 In the earlier films, they worked hard to make sure that the monsters consistently felt huge and that the audience felt small when looking at them. That was part of the fun, and that feeling is a key selling point in giant monster films. Now, that feeling is almost entirely gone. What's the point of making anything bigger than normal if it's just going to feel the same either way? Kong and the other great apes just felt like normal, real world gorillas to me. If they're going to explore the Hollow Earth then they need to make it feel different than the surface ecosystem, and they haven't.

@@Wowreference I kind of get your point. That only worked in G14 which was totally from the human pov. King of the Monsters did it perfectly, showing both monster and human povs but most people hated it by saying when there's a fight, they cut back to humans. So i doubt that they'll go back to that tone, especially when GxK is doing well in the box office. Adam is leaving, so there is a good chance that they stop being too cheesy and go back to a bit grounded.
