Godzilla Swapped Continental Custom LED Dash & Gauges - 7.3L Bagged Lincoln Ep. 6

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We are tackling some big projects on the 7.3L Godzilla swapped Lincoln Continental this week. First we're starting off by fabricating some mounts to get our sway bar located on our custom crossmember. Once we have those welded in, we're final welding our transmission tunnel in place on our Continental floor. We're also getting our Devious custom fuel tank mounted up, which includes making a few modifications to our four link bars to adjust our rear end for some added clearance.
And with all these little bits and pieces knocked out on the build, we can focus on the real meat and potatoes of this week's work: a custom LED backlit dash to hold our Holley Terminator display! We wanted to really spice the interior of this 1965 Lincoln Continental up, so we're cutting up our original dash to be able to install some custom LED lighting in a slick smoked Lightbox setup!
With these LEDs glowing in our interior we're ready to make some even bigger steps inside this slammed Continental! So make sure to subscribe so you don't miss as we fit in the BMW center console inside this Lincoln!
We also have some big updates coming for the interior of our twin turbo LSX Chevelle, and we're about to reveal our next HUGE project for the channel. You're not going to want to miss any of this!

    One of the worst parts of my work is extended periods of time without much internet access or time to just chill watching KZread. Months with no real time off, long exhausting days where i just want a shower, read a little, and then fall asleep. But I'm a glass half full type of guy. Just realized that I have hours of content from salvage 2 savage to binge. Thanks guys, really great as always.

    I subscribed for this Lincoln build but spent the last two weeks binging on the whole channel. Watching this is keeping the excitement up for me. I've had a '66 for about 10 years before they were so cool and everyone was building them. Fab'd my own air suspension and rolled around for years on that. Currently waiting on some Murray Kustom Rod suspension parts and a 9 inch rear end to do an update . Got the Wildwood big brake kit from Little Shop the other day and joining the crowd with a 635 horse LS. However I'm putting a Tremec 5 speed behind it to set myself apart from the crowd a little bit. Already rewired the whole car and got rid of all that vacuum b.s. Keep up the great work! No one understands the expenses or the quirkiness of a Lincoln until they actually own one. Glad I found your channel.

    Seems like moving the rear end forward to clearance the fuel cell it would make it off center in the body wheel opening? Dash is cool with old and new combination

  • @SalvagetoSavage

    @SalvagetoSavage

    9 ай бұрын

    Thanks for the support! If anything, the difference in the wheel center would be unnoticeable since we maybe only need to move it a half inch forward (maybe even less). It seems more extreme because those top link arms had to be shortened, but that's just because we ran out of adjustment and wanted to make sure we had room both ways to manipulate the rear end

    Do you guys realize how rare the vacuum controlled tilt column that came in that car is? I hope it was removed carefully and all the parts were saved together, it would sell immediately on eBay, I know these Lincoln's are popular and a lot are getting customized, I personally think they were engineered so well they should be preserved, just my opinion, my 68 30,000 original miles will never be cut up.

    6 or 7 thousand pound car bud . I don’t think your sway bar brackets are going to hold very long.(edit) I’m not being negative either. I think they will hold but you’ve got to remember a very large % of the weight of the front of the car transfers through the sway bar
