Before the writers of Madame Web and Morbius graced the world with those cinematic experiences, they delivered Gods of Egypt, a movie that exists and was made and exists.
Gods of Egypt definitely raises some questions. Like why is the God of Egypt Scottish? Why didn’t the other gods help Horus when they were all together, instead of being picked off individually later? What was the point of the entire second act?
To answer all these questions, check out the pitch meeting that led to Gods of Egypt!

this movie is near to my heart. one of my best friends and I needed to waste time while we waited for an appointment, so we went to a theater and arbitrarily picked Gods of Egypt. IT was noon in the middle of the week, the entire theater was empty, and we essentially got a private showing and didn't bother trying to be quiet, we roasted the hell out of it. It is the best time I ever had at a theater. We even had a running joke that the human guy was secretly the son of the god of luck because of everything that just magically works out for him even when it absolutely should not and he should have died several times throughout the movie directly because of his own decisions.

Fun fact: we've actually known the earth was round since around the 5th century B.C. The Greeks figured it out mathematically. They even got pretty close to calculating the actual size.
@davidgantenbein9362
3 ай бұрын
I read Ovid in school (Roman poet from the 1st century BC), it was funny how he actually depicted a round Earth as a ball swimming in the ocean, with only the top being above the water. With this depiction he basically transformed the knowledge of the Earth being round back into a virtually flat Earth for how people think the Earth is. Kind of eye opening that knowing the Earth is round doesn’t necessarily mean that they fully understood all the implications and why none of them dared sailing to America.

Groucho looks at the 4th Wall and says to the reader: "Don't ask me why, but I could've sworn he was about to say something else."

Wuargh 🤢 😂
From the same great writers that would give us morbius and madam web 🎉
Lol great as always… could you do some more older movies in the future? Like I’d love to see the Exorcist or Texas Chainsaw Massacre pitch meeting lol
you save me so much money and time. thank you
I've been waiting years for this Pitch Meeting and I didn't even know it!
2:08 sounds exactly like the rules when I played Dungeons & Dragons! But to many movie makers use uninformed mythology to prevent any real boundaries in the story.
This was amazing
1:04 *BOOM* subverted expectations. Love it! cheers
Nailed it!!
Kind words and compliments.
Best one in awhile. This movie deserves a golden something for it's prime pitch material.
Nailed it! 🤜🤛
