One of the best high powered outdoor flash unit

I’m surprised you didn’t mention the ring flash unit. What brand is you umbrella and would you recommend it compared to similar modifiers?

Just some unknown brand. Its affordable and the cover is built in so really easy to keep and deploy. Its still not as soft as a softbox and no way to grid. So personally its more of a mass fill, outdoor softlight with easy deployment kind of mod. There are better mods but cost more and more cumbersome to use if you want simple fill or just soft keylight and no grids.

When you were using the strobe at half or full power were you using HSS? I ask because an AD600 would be enough if used with a ND filter

Yup HSS. It’s correct if u use ad600. But gfx sync speed is abysmal at 1/125. It’s slow enough that if I want the subject to move, it will blur(u can’t freeze motion if mixing light with Low shutter). So ND isn’t a great option

Nope you can’t. The charging port faces inside.

After all this time - how often do you still use the AD1200? Became it your bread and butter flash? Mostly seeing AD200s in your BTS videos :)

Ad1200 is used only for my goddess shoot and if I am overpowering the sun. For most I use ad300

I got it in the past for Alan photo. But most say they won’t be bringing this in so really don’t have a good idea where to get it now

its one of the alternative name for godox. funny thing is godox cost more then pixapro and flashpoint

1200 it’s not wattage
