I could see that. Almost a shame we didn't get this. Would have been cool to have had a boss fight with something like this in the game, only for Kratos to make a comment to Atreus in the 2018 game about having fought a serpent of that scale before, with neither Atreus nor Mimir really believing that, considering the serpent's immense, worldly size.

Hmm... very interesting. I loved the first couple of concepts. Especially the Kratos and Deimos one. Tho I thought Kratos was the one with the bow. A later stage of the two, where they fight monsters and Deimos is strong. As for cut content... you said it right. Hippocampus is a much better choice. What hurts me the most when talking cut bosses, is the boss that was supposed to be in Skorpius' way. Stheno. The third gorgon sister. Like, IMAGINE.

Nah, we've had enough Gorgons i think. Scorpius is pretty unique. Yeah, he sucks ass, but i rather prefer him to be changed somehow to be more fun, than replaced completely.

Damn shame we couldn't get a Gorgon sister per each of the Mainline numbered titles in the series. Poor Gorgon sister was a statue the whole time now ever since Ascension.

Whole series was like an exhibition for ancient greek mythology monsters

It was leviathan (the serpent on gaia), and he would be the first versión of the hippocampi.

this is pretty interesting since on the God of War wiki it was said that this is an early Hippocampus design, essentially, since the Hippocampi in the game files were called "Leviathan" in the game files, and this concept art here does show a giant cobra like serpent fight Kratos on top of Gaia, just like the Hippocampi boss fight in the final cut, maybe Andy Park was thinking that this design can be used for either mythical being ingame if one or the other was cut?

I prefer what we got since a palace for surtr feels outta place plus surtr lives under a huge ass sword anyways which is much cooler to me

They took her out because of the deal typhoon made with Zeus during god of war 2 as long as he stays in the mountain she will not be killed which is why we couldn’t recruit him like Gaia told us to it’s in the gow 2 novel

@@AmazonDinosaur to be fair if you played the games you have most of what happens in the book except the books go into detail on certain things like the blades restoring Kratos health with every cut or the people he interacts with on the journey and even some of his inner thoughts on the gods however some oh the fights in the book are different in detail for example slapping ares with a mountain and kneeing him in the crouch. Really the books just are a (ground zero) telling of the games it’s just as amazing either way.

@@AmazonDinosaur while Artemis appears and even has a slight disagreement with Ares she leaves to search for Apollo who based on the details in the comics is hiding in Sparta it seems something happened with Apollo before the god of war series started maybe he betrayed Zeus and was banished or something it is uncertain but Artemis left Olympus to find him which explains why is not in god of war 3

Cut content is a huge part of every single video game. It's a normal part of development to cut parts to allow others, to chose between two things in order to focus on the best and leave the other one
