Diecifer indeed, most likely it was. Honestly though I think both might have actually had dev diaries. I recall Jaffey talking about GoW1 as being the game he had always wanted to make as a kid and I remember seeing some info on map/level design from the first game and I recall more info about storyboarding and general development of GoW2 with the other guy that I don't recall his name... bald guy that ended up taking over Dave's role after he left. (David Jaffey is the guy that came up with/made GoW)

totally, i would have LOVED that patchwork one though now that im older, though a cyclops with a PENGUS!! i think these games would have gotten the A-O rating if they had that many dicks on screen (outside of Jersey Shore, HEYOHH)

The skeleton wasn't completely scrapped. They actually used it as an enemy in the second game.

How things are, isn't it? When I played Terrence 2 and exploring the Bog I saw those undead enemies appear. I remember thinking: So they DID reuse the skeletons with swords after all, they weren't "so plain of a design for today's audience" at the end, right, David?

What a nice piece of bonus content to enjoy after the game ends. I miss the days of secret unlockables, cheat codes and bonus concept artwork. Nowadays they sell that stuff to you separately.

The dreadlocks Kratos looks like he may have made a come back seeing how in GOW3 the forgotten warrior skin resembles it. Even the name makes me think it's a call back.

Yeah actually 3 of the scrapped Kratos designs from this game are costumes in GoW3; Forgotten Warrior is Dreadlocks, Dominus is Cool Armor Kratos, and Morpheus Armor has the blue tattoos but they added armor to it

I love that games used to add these cool little unlockable extras. Nowadays, you would have to pay $10 for something like this.

I wish more game developers included things like this into their games, little extras that keep you visiting from time to time to relive old memories.

4:41 To be honest, I'm glad they didn't go with this version of Kratos. this looked like they were trying to make a Hollywood Hercules. trying too hard to make the design stand out. so I'm glad we got our white skinned baldy instead. sometimes a more simple design goes further than a design trying too hard

i did , it was a pain in the ass indeed , though it wasn't as hard as the pathway before the last sister i god of war 2 at titan mode , but i beat it it either way , although i failed in gow 3 because i couldn't take out zeus in chaos mode at the heart of gaia, that shit was just too much , seriously too much , now am playing ascension before god of war is out on ps4 , too bad i don't have a ps4 xD

[ SPECTA] About Zeus, it's kinda easy to take him down by spamming the O + R1 grab with nemesis whip (some people recommend Nemean Cestus, but I think that those are more risky due to their low speed), and when Zeus clones himself, switch to the Blades of Exile and use the Magic (Army of Sparta) to get rid of the additional enemies. If your weapons are upgraded to the max level, then it should do the job.

Kratos V2 = Legionnaire Armour(Ghost of Sparta) Kratos V3 = Forgotten Warrior(GOW 3) Kratos V4 = Dominus Armour(GOW 3) Kratos V5 = Morpheus Armour(GOW3) Kratos V1 = In our Hearts :)

Games don’t put this effort anymore. Looking at you EA.

jasonslasher1418210 They probably removed it because it looked way too much like the Abominations from Warcraft III. Didn't really make much sense to have undead Cyclopses in the game either.

I wish all games had this!!! It pains me no to know the details and the thoughts of the dev team regarding failed character or level designs. Also the music is really appropriate for this level, they picked the right music.

I actually liked their idea on giving the creatures nude features, it makes them more beast like and much more like a wild animal that you had to face instead of some generic monster that apparently got castrated along the way. Guess the Cyclop's balls dropped to low.

I wish they had this kind of feature in the new God of War game. Think of the hilarious creations that would have produced as well as the naarations that would be written about it lol.

What I think is funny is that the Version 4 guy is an add-on skin to God Of War 3

Man.. I miss these old days 2000-2010. The games was include unlockable secrets that you can do it by yourself not by the internet. I like old GoW because it has bonus and something to do after finish the game. I love the soundtrack of this place! I wish they could make another GoW with classic style or (OG) or old style if you understand me.
