The right soundtrack for the right moment...awesome

I like how Atreus never really witnesses the moments where Kratos shows he really loves him. - His sickness comes back and goes unconscious, Kratos gets worried sick and goes to hell just to heal him. - Atreus gets knocked out and kidnapped by Baldur, Kratos jumps off a mountain, screams "STAY AWAY FROM MY SON!" at Baldur and falls again from the back of a dragon, only to get up and run back after him.

That was a fun one to shoot. During scenes like this I'd perform as Baldur and Chris J. Alex would be Kratos. That funky knee thing we did at 3:01 was the director's idea. Great memories.

I can't get enough of the part at 4:45.This is one of my favorite scenes in the whole game. I don't know why. I kind of get Logan vibes from it. Kratos is older, you can see he struggles a bit, he breathes heavily while running, but nonetheless, he keeps running like a fucking fright train, you know there is no stopping him. The music also gives an excellent vibe of desperation and urgency. His son is in danger. Baldur is not getting away so easily. Old man Kratos is coming for you.

4:43 reading the comments I see that more people connected with this moment. Short but full of feelings, I loved what the did with you having to run all the way to the door. That made us feel like we were in kratos' shoes chasing the man that is threatening his/our son. This little piece of soundtrack, I wish they had made it longer! Epic!

In Norse mythology Baldr is god of light, joy, purity, and the summer sun. Really seems to represent that well in this game.

I get that the creators probably did that on purpose. Like Thor is supposed to be this legendary hero in Norse mythology, but he’s clearly gonna be a villain in the next game. Also does. Baldr remind anyone else of Connor Mccreggor? Or am I the only one.

Also,Atreus was the King of Mycenae & Sparta,father of Agamemnon & Menelaos,who later started the Trojan War,he had nothing to do with Norse mythology at all.

Jack4514Pool Well Baldur probably was the most pure and most loved god in the game earlier before Freya put a spell on him to make him not feel anything at all and also making him immortal. He probably became crazy because of that becoming a crazy hipster. I mean I'll probably get crazy if I can't feel or taste anything.

Baldur fights were overall much better than the god fights in Ragnarok....this may be an unpopular opinion but just think about it, Ragnarok did NOT have the quality of cinematics the baldur fights did. All 3 of the baldur fights throughout the game were masterpieces....

This whole sequence is a literal masterpiece, the soudntrack, the voice acting, the character animations, the graphics, the actions, every single thing is perfectly well done

This scene is an absolute masterpiece. Although I really regret one thing - when Kratos is chasing after Baldur at 4:48 I wished to see his Spartan Rage growing, that would be an awesome detail.

I love the fact that Baldur just tanks hits from Kratos because he feels nothing and is invulnerable, so it makes sense he wouldn't even try to fight back at times.

2:06 - 2:15 So much charisma love it

2:47 is the best part. It just proves that Kratos is only the best father. Beating the shit out of Baldur for his son, even though he knows Baldur is invincible, and even though his son shot him with an electric arrow. Shows he cares for Atreus no matter what.

people talk about specific moments from this, but the whole scene, fromthe fight on the mountain, to jumping onto baldurs dragon and then fighting on it, to being transported to helheim is completely unmatched, this whole video from start to finish is like nothing I've ever seen before in videogames, TV and movies

There is something truly satisfying hearing the ‘unkillable’ Baldur say to Kratos “why won’t you die?!”. Finally, Baldur is getting a taste of his own medicine with how insufferable to others he can be 😄.

I want a 'behind the scenes' of that sequence. I wanna know how they managed to handle the loading in the engine. I can see they often surrounded the characters with mist to keep the memory usage as low as possible, but where does the game start loading Hellheim? Is Tyr temple the real scene or LoD version? I need to know ;-;

Baldur really was amazing I loved him from the first time he showed up at their house and punched Kratos so hard he flew across the forest
