I think you guys are playing GoW3 on normal. It's pretty easy on that difficulty, I think D.I. by default is a bit harder. But you can't be mindless on really any of the classic GoW titles on their harder difficulties and with GoW3's alt weapons all being very similar to the blades they all flow into eachother during combat, it's smother than D.I. Out of all the GoW titles I think Ascension's gameplay feels closest to D.I.'s

@@Nameless0061 It works but even then DMC 5 changed things and it still wasn't enough to interest casual players. "10 million units sold is the new benchmark for success in AAA" and DMC5 has only sold 6 million copies. This is why Capcom churns out RE games and remakes but there is no DMC 6 in their current roadmap. DMC is such a huge name and Capcom still won't risk to release more than once a decade, do you think EA is gonna risk making a new Dante's Inferno game that has a next to nothing fanbase?

The reason why they canceled the sequel was due to the critics calling it a GoW copy, and by it's poor sales, they got by it, but as a DI fan, Dante's Purgatory would be legendary.

Very cool games to compare. Nice comparison video!

A few things that I'd change about Dante's inferno is that I'd merge the interact button with the grab button, and the interact button would be button that switches between holy style and unholy style. Which means that with unholy style, we'd still have the unholy scythe moves but the cross would have unholy powers. In holy style, the cross has its usual holy moves but the scythe is blessed and has holy powers as well. The extensions of health, mana, redemption meter, relic slots and grab mechanic will be placed in the middle. I personally imagine DI having three endings after providing an option to punish or absolve Lucifer, the third option to re-imprison him. If Lucifer's re-imprisoned, than the ending we got will be the same, if he's punished than Dante will be forced to be the new king of hell, or if he's absolved than all of hell will begin to crumble, all souls get set free and only purgatory and heaven will be left. However, sin, conflict and death will still always exist in reality. Other than all that, I almost prefer Dante over Kratos.

It had the best music, gameplay and boss battles etc, also the darkest and bloodiest of the series, but the worst in terms of story. Ghost of Sparta had a better and more coherent storyline.

Of course, it is known that the style of Dante's Inferno is made like God of War, but this does not negate the originality of Dante's Inferno. On the contrary, Dante's Inferno seems to be a more serious game - a game that reflects the vileness, cruelty and bleakness of the described Hell - nothing like God of War offers. If God of War can still be played by children under 18 (although the rating of the game seems to be 18+), then Dante's Inferno is definitely not a game for the child's psyche.

ok OP, GOW was always a serious and dark franchise... you realise how evil Kratos is or was especially ordering thousands of decapitated heads to be built as pyramids from large scale battles as well as innocent ppl (which also includes children) but difference between Kratos and Dante is that one just wanted to be forgotten and not forgiven but still did evil shit even after what has happened especially the higher beings fcking his life up and one wanted to be forgiven but he had to suffer in order to achieve redemption

It would be amazing if there were more bosses and demons in the game Like: medusa and her sisters,the sisters of creopota From the sin of Lust,minotaur,chimera,hydra and those statues and titans being alive + stages on earth with Humans for us to kill and fight until we fight with Kings and a sequel to Dante's purgatory would be amazing And Dante's heaven Too bad didn't have those things... 😭😔 like and Bye!

I fuck with God of war, first game I remember playing as a kid, first game that made me mash a single button hella fast lmao but when I found Dante's inferno about 3 years ago (ik I'm late as fuck) I got hooked instantly. That game is on a whole nother level than God of war in my opinion, perfect horror game. Everyone acts like God of war is the only game that can have that type of gameplay and mechanics. Dante's Inferno is way to underrated

I have played god of war ghost of sparta and dante's inferno. It's too shocking to see how charismatic both games are. Specially dante's inferno. Man literally it was released on psp first and it gave us too much fun. I have played noth games on my phone using ppsspp emulator. These two are in the list of Best games from psp

I like how Dante's animations are much more relaxed and swift. Kratos has a ton of weight behind it due to his rage. But Dante seems more focused and reserved, wasting no energy

I have been a fan of god of war since the ps2 period till ps3 if you have played god of war alot you will understand that dantes inferno was more like a clone, kratos remains the badass dude here.... Now that we are in the ps4 and 5, god of war seems boring i like the mythology kratos than the nos mythology one.

When God of War meet Dante's Inferno be like: God of War: Redemption (where Kratos and Dante fight the forces of evil from the Seven Deadly Sins, and Kratos meets Jesus to claim his redemption, repent and vanquishe all and forget everything the past nightmares he had done).

The only way they're useless is if you play on the lowest difficulty. And since you said GoW as a whole, and not Gow3 specifically, I'm going to assume you haven't played the rest of the series. Because in older GoWs magic attacks are some of your most powerful offensive skills. Way stronger than DI's. GoW magic is more straightforward and destructive, while DI's is more utilitary and doesn't offer as much in the power department. Still, they have a lot of uses for creative CC. They're clearly supposed to compliment with the core combat system.

Everyone of them different from each other in Inferno I like the light idea but I hate Excessive pornography.

Absolutely not! God of War was developed by Santa Monica, a Sony studio, while Dante's Inferno was developed by Visceral Games, an EA studio
