That's kind of the point. Odin is a danger do to how much knowledge and charisma he can utilize in his favor; he can win wars and defeat opponents without lifting a hand, and that makes him more dangerous than Zeus in some situations

The old games are quite more deep than people give them credit for, but they never gave time for Kratos to heal and redeem himself.

Uh, The fleece is turned away from the lightning bolt if you slow it down at .25 Not that it mattered, because Zeus aims it at the ground, and the ground explodes from underneath Kratos.

So let me get this straight, from the start of the game, Gaia was climbing up Mount Olympus. With only Poseidon stopping her for a moment. Then this happens, so she starts climbing again after Kratos falls. Then Kratos let's her fall later. Then she comes up again at the end to try and kill Kratos and Zeus simultaneously. She then dies. While Kratos was on an escapade. Gaia was literally climbing the whole time just to die anyway. Lol

Man i kinda missed this level of epicness in God of war Ragnarok, i was hoping the norse gods had this level of legendary epicness.

The disdain these two have for each other is absolutely something to behold lol. Take into consideration that kratos went to Midgard, spent over a hundred years there before meeting Laufaye, Atreus was born somewhere along that time, he then went to helheim and the second he saw even the slightest inkling of zeus’ presence IMMEDIATELY squared up for a fight. He even asks mimir what’s over there when he see’s zeus could still be around in some facet or another. It had been almost 2 centuries at that point since kratos killed zeus and he still was ready to fight the second he saw him. I just can’t imagine how much you have to hate someone to not let it go after almost 200 years.

I bought PS3 in 2011 one year after God of war III came out I still remember how happy I was . Wjeb I finished God of war II in 2009 I was sure that the next God of war is not gonna be on the PS2 and I was so sad about it as a kid .. I still remember that days

Saint Link But he IS a child in comparison with Zeus's age and experience. IMO it is a great line (followed by a great scene) that shows how much Kratos is overpowered by Zeus's might. Kratos is strong and powerful, but he is also impatient, impulsive and not very smart (generally characteristics of younger folks), while Zeus does not possess any of these weaknesses.

+Sérgio Alexandre Still sounds ridiculous to me. I like the series but this game is not very good. The first one had it all, in my opinion. Great dialogue "Ares, The monster you created has returned... To kill you" a gripping story (how and why Kratos is called the Ghost of Sparta still gives me chills) and overall had a more mature tone. This game tries very hard and often falls short.

Yea this reflects back to kratos killing gods and titans alike all for his need for vengeance and considering baldur was walking that same path or starting to yea.... it was gonna get bad if kratos didnt stop him from killing his mother

Not even Ragnarok or GOW 4 ever came close to matching this epicness and grandeur

Even though I loved Chris Judge's performance, I still would've loved to have seen TC Carsons attempt. A lot of people say that carsons voice was perfect for a blinded with rage kratos and chris judge is perfect for a wiser kratos. However, 2:20 gives us a glimpse of what and older kratos with tc carsons voice could've been and honestly, I dig it.

Yeah. Overall I would've felt so much connected to the older kratos through the new games. He only has white paint and a red stripe. Visually and through audio, I don't see a connection between the two eras Maybe they wanted somebody with a deeper voice to deliver the mental effect of kratos being wise and all. But they did Carson dirty. He played a calm kratos in ascension just fine

Seriously gaia after watching kratos for his whole life this is all u could come up with? Or were u already infected by the evils of the great war?

This is just bad writing. This game is almost perfect, but the story is very mediocre. I wonder how GoW3 would be if Cory Barlog didn't left Santa Monica Studios at the end of GoW2 (100% GOTY over Red Dead).

Something a lot of people tend to look past is the fact that even with all of the weapons he acquired, Zeus still managed to give Kratos a hell of a fight. He almost killed Kratos for fucks sake even after IMPALING HIM WITH THE BLADE OF OLYMPUS. Zeus was fucking relentless. He was definitely worthy of his title as “King of the Gods”.

@@naotanandaba2368 Nope. Zues was holding back against Kratos even though Kratos had the Blade of Olympus in GoW2. Kratos needs the powers and weapons of the other Gods and titans and the blade of Olympus just to beat Zues. Odin is nothing against Zues.

The Scale of the "God of War" Games was always HUGE. Such a brilliant series.

Fun fact: Corey Burton who played as God of War Zeus also played as Zeus from Disney’s Hercules in a tv show
