I remember being scared as shit out of Colossus. A giant statue coming to life and slowly coming at me was creepy. Still, I loved this fight, a lot. Definitely one of the most badass bosses in GOW.

Fun fact: the Statue of Colossus was a statue that actually existed..but it has been lost to time and nobody knows where the remnants of the statue remain.

Years may go by, centuries but God Of War 2 is still an incredible game to be released on PS2. Take advantage of 120% of the power of the console. A timeless masterpiece.

I personally consider GOW 2 as the best part of this legendary franchise. Character development was on top, graphics and everything for that time from GOW 1 to GOW 2 was a huge evolution and brings back many childhood memories, and practically GOW 1-2 are my whole childhood along with other games like GTA and Prince of Persia. Some people tend to forget how epic was to play young savage Kratos back then, even some folks didn't finish GOW 1 and 2

To me Ares was the one that got the closest to kill Kratos.Even with the full power of Pandora's box (plus his other assets from Gods)

Imagine if Kratos was still giant and didn’t lose all his power, we could’ve had a straight out Kaiju size fight with Kratos vs Colossus, besides that, this was my favorite boss in the game! :D

In defense of Helios, he was fighting a titan at the same time as Kratos, so the colossus was a bigger threat

Finally a titanic boss that isn't a complete slug and that has pretty smart attacks

In Gow Ghost of Sparta we had to fight a Giant creature too.

The Spartans advance too quickly. At the beginning of the siege they were on the coast and later they arrived almost at the same time as Kratos where the sword was.

This was such a master piece when I played this for the first time on my ps2....

I remember fighting this in first time and it still amazed me

I love how Ghost of Sparta explained why Kratos started attacking random cities. He was so disgusted and ticked off at the gods for what they did to Deimos, that he took his anger out on all the cities that worshipped them. Dude was trying to burn down the entirety of Greece for what they did to his brother. Glad Ghost of Sparta explained this, cause when 2 first came out it just looks like he went mad with power when thats not the case at all

Fun fact: In the God of War 2 Novel, it is said that the Gods become weaker when too many worshippers die. This is another reason why Kratos started destroying the cities that worshipped the Gods of Olympus In this game, Kratos is destroying the city of Rhodes, the city that mainly worshipped the sun god Helios

I still remember it up to this day as one of my most scary gameplay ever

يا لها من ذكريات رائعة من الطفولة ، من اول الالعاب التي لعبتها على الاطلاق كانت الاجواء جميلة بوجود الاصدقاء و الأقارب ، اما الان لدي بليستيشن من الجيل الرابع لكنني اشتاق الى اله الحرب الجزء الثاني من حين الى اخر ، محمد من العراق ، تحياتي للجميع .

I’m playing this as an adult for the first time since it came out and the most difficult part about this room getting colossal grip to let go. I was pretty aggravated with the last game because of all bye floor room with the box and climbing the spinning blade poles

I was actually scares of the Colossus when I was young. Nevertheless, it was still my favorite game.

This statue was more of a Challege than the real Helios.

Fun Fact: The Colossus of Rhodes was one of The 7 Wonders of The Ancient World, along with The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, The Lighthouse of Alexandria, The Statue of Zeus at Olympia, The Great Pyramid of Giza, The Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, and The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus. Of all of these wonders, 4 were destroyed by earthquake, 2 were destroyed by fire, and only ONE is currently standing!

It is not running on ps5 not with the hardware. People here have never heard of ps now or what ? This is just the game running on ps5 via streaming on ps now but the game is actually running on a virtual ps3. You can do it on your ps4 too. But you better have a good internet

Plus The way Kratos throws Colossus makes me laugh so hard. It like a ant in steroids throws a human being.

That's a calm, reasonable man dealing with the preservartion of the fine arts.

I got real GOOOSEBUMPS the first time I played this game , Colossus lowkey scared me
