@@Naruko_Nami They definitely have improvements, but the bosses in the older games are far better. Soo much more cinematic and epic. That can be boiled down to the slower pace modern Kratos fights at. But still. I miss the older games more over-the-top cinematics and fighting.

@@jonsolor1176 it was. With Ares' death, he was the next one in line to fulfill the prophecy. That's the main thing about Greek tragedies, they _are going to happen_ regardless of what you do. The Norse Saga wants to paint Kratos as someone who always had a choice, but the funny part is, he did not. Since he was the only one able to make the prophecy come true, Destiny would force him to do it, one way or another. So yeah, Olympus was destined to fall.

@@jonsolor1176 the fates told the gods that a marked warrior was to bring the end of Olympus, and kratos brother Deimos had a birthmark on him and mistaken him for the marked warrior, so kratos gets the same birthmark tattoo as his brother marking him as the warrior in the prophecy but the gods didnt know that untill kratos open the box of pandora which the evils invaded the gods which caused Olympus to become corrupted.

in the first one and chains of olympus, even though he resents them, he is very respectful towards the gods. even in the beginning of II, he still maintains some diplomacy. then zeus stabs him, takes his godhood, and to really annihilate any chance of kratos forgiving, destroys sparta. from then on, kratos hates the gods openly and sees his life in retrospect as manipulation of the gods. the truth is the gods believed kratos was becoming a threat just like ares before him, even though he was only doing his duty as god of war (favouring the only town in greece that adored him) and wasn't threatening olympus like ares.

Kratos was simply a different kind of character then and the series was a little more brutally cartoonish at the time , that’s not to say that it didn’t have some mature storylines or aspects of course it did but tc suited this time. Judge suits the Norse era as kratos has gotten older wiser and with the gameplay reflecting that change it helps

From my understanding these mythologies came from peoples fear of different elements on earth, example thunder, water, strength ect so they made “gods” that represent them and created a worship to “appease” in hopes that these elements in nature wouldn’t harm them. These people built entire architectural wonders in honor of some of them and its naive to believe they werent believing in their existence in my opinion. Even nowadays they are people claiming they have contact with ancient gods. Its the same concept with people being certain they were visited by aliens. Same demons. Of course I look at it from a Christian perspective.
