This is the true story of both of my deceased grandma's, and yes, they are both loving with discipline, and teaching me to see on a treadle sewing machine, and how to cook on a wood burning stove...

This is the best tribute to farmer's wives. I used some of this for my own mums memorial. A tribute so beautiful. With tears in my eyes I feel the warmth of love for so many good farmer's wives.

My grandparents were farmers. I hated helping them when I was younger but being 23 now I miss every second of it after 5-6 years of not helping them. If I could go back in time and help them I'd do it

Super True! Women are seldom given Credit for anything! There would NOT be any life worth living without what Women do. I am a Senior Citizen and remember well these Women born from 1870 on, on our Farms. However our modern City Moms and Suburb Moms, many single, but seldom by choice, also work long days, and provide so much special deep care ,as in this Tribute of incredible sacrifice and love! (Thank you for a super beautiful Tribute to Women! Amen!)

It's a good antidote to the woman with a master's degree who said to my mother that she (the one with the masters degree,) was not a "lady of leisure." My mother, who called herself a "farm wife," thought the lady was referring to farm wives. So yea, it's not a life of "leisure!"

My grandma aka nana was all this and more. She was sweet enough to bake you cookies and with tears in her eyes tell you that it was gonna be ok when your great grandma dies who was like a second mother to her. But the same women still had to have a enough fire and brimstone in her to spank her grandchildren when they said bad words or got out of line so god made my nana.

Gerald Lundegard South African boers who have a complex task of irrigating the land before they can even begin to think of planning something may have something to say about that. Ireland and New Zealand up there too. But I am not surprised an American thinks the center of the Universe is America. I live in America now, and it is a great country.

This is so WRONG.. I would have loved to share this, but saying God made an 8th day isn't right.. Praise God for giving every person on the earth Jesus Christ.. He was doubted, mocked, and tortured. Knowing He would be hung on the cross, crucified, and suffer the worst humiliating death. Born to carry the weight of the worlds unimaginable sin. Washing away and forgiving all peoples sin then, now, and each day ahead... No human did, can, or will do what God has done and does for all of us everyday.. God bless us, God change us.. God said He would never leave us, never forsake us.. He gave us a helper and protector, He gave us the Holy Spirit.. Amen...
