Several years ago my husband, while in a nursing home, was diagnosed with insulin dependent diabetes. After a few months in the nursing home, he was released to home. I was in charge of monitoring his sugar levels (finger stick) and insulin injections. After about two weeks of home cooked meals, no white sugar (I substituted local honey for sugar), his sugar levels were within normal ranges. After consultation with his doctor and blood work, it was determined he was not insulin dependent and the treatment for diabetes was stopped. His blood work was normal for the remainder of his life until he passed from cardiac arrest many years later. I believe his heart condition was exasperated by his doctor turning his care over to a PA who continually played with the dosage of his meds as well as adding other meds to the hoard he was already taking.

On the other hand don't you agree that if an obese person was currently eating a large bowl of cereal and two slices of toast every morning and they successfully cut that down to a small bowl of cereal and one slice of toast it would be better than nothing. A couple of decades back the ADA had a page called EAT MORE STARCH! They took it down eventually but it's still on the wayback machine. It helpfully pointed out that "You may need to adjust your medication" - ie. increase it. I think the theory was that fat caused heart disease and protein damaged the kidneys so you had to "base every meal on starchy carbohydrates" - which were the actual cause of the heart disease and kidney damage as well as the diabetes itself. Here in the UK Diabetes UK, British Heart Foundation, British Dietetic Association etc. closely parallel the US ones. I came to the conclusion that health "charities" are actually marketing arms of Big Pharma.

Yep, as long as capitalism is at the core of everything the agenda will always be to get people on a payment plan for life. Just look at the technology industry. Everything requires a subscription. Either that or you'll be forced to upgrade to a new thousand dollar product despite the existing one still functioning. Smh! 😳

I am so happy my husband was able to come off of blood pressure, gout, and statin medications with the "Proper Human Diet." Dr. Ken Berry has pointed out the ADA's non-cure treatments with more medications. What happened to the doctor's oath of "Do No Harm"? After covid and the jaba jaba, our faith in the healthcare has been shaken to the core. Be your own advocate and research, research, research the heck out of prescribed/treatment options.

I agree with your statement. But I have also found out that the research can be tricky. Someone has said the studies need to be studied and I have found that to be vry true. There are so many conflicting opinions out there from MD's and other researchers we are back to it depends on who you believe. I believe a few explicitly like Dr. Richard Bernstein and a few others. Most of these people predate the current low carb debate. Then I think ther are a ton of people who are preaching low carb and while not totally wrong they are mainly in it to make money off youtube.

I am so glad that now, at age 78, I am able to witness the truth about a healthy diet being given to the public (by KZread channels). I also believe that EXERCISE is more important than anything else--even diet! Naturally, a good diet combined with exercise is the best combination. The greed is beyond a normal human's comprehension. I have been saying the same thing about the Cancer association; formed over 100 years ago when the rate of cancer was 1 in 5000. Now after billions in money and we assume research, it is 1 in 3. Why would ANYONE give them money with a track record this horrific. Can you imagine me running a business that continued to make worse and worse products and just kept raising my prices? Where only one of my products failed for every 5000 I made, now 1 out of 3 fail, but I am still in business? This saddens me to the core of my being, how so many are quick to profit from the sick. This has recently been on full display after the bio-weapon launch of cv19. I was so saddened by the anti-information and forced lockdowns that I stopped composing music, stopped playing my instruments for a year. The truth of their incessant lies and depth of Hell lies all came out, I could not believe how many countries went along with the horrible medical acts of violence against their own people. Crimes against humanity was rampant, and as of today, unaccounted for.
