Our father creates us to serve Him, to show him we love him by obeying His commandments. His will for us is to obey His commandments and teach others to do so. I was was listening to God I need you now trying to get healing. I didnt even know this song or meant to play it. Today I couldn't move.. I struggle with depression.. There have been many times I didn't want to get out of bed. But I didn't want to move, I didn't even want to watch TV. He is probably working on me, but this too I needed to know that depression makes you feel that bad. I've had anxiety type and very long crying types not moving type no.. today and it was HORRIBLE. Thanks for posting lyrics.....this song/lyrics bring me to my knees and tears flow..... struggling SO VERY MUCH...this song has helped some, yet!!! This has kept me from harming myself so many times....sorry if that hits harsh, yet it's my truth.... God bless all listening to this song

I was shocked and really shouldn't have been cuz it is how God works, but I remember Plumb from the early 2000's and didn't know she was a Christian artist but thought, and still do think, that she has the most beautiful voice that I have ever heard. It was a week ago, listening to KLOVE that I heard her voice for the first time in over a decade and it brought back memories. I an just now finding my faith again and have struggled so much over the past decade and this song among many others have cut deep into my heart, had me close to tears and spoke to me louder than any artist had in a long time...I can't stop listening to them. I even love the ones where she sings about fighting for her love, even if it means fighting with them because that is what you do in love... that's is something I have never experienced and pray that someone like her is out there for me, but I want God to choose that person and in a time he chooses because when those choices were left unto me, I made all the wrong choices. Thank you for this song God, thank you for all the songs that you give us that help us not feel alone in our struggles and journey to be with the Lord. Plumb , you are like an angel that speaks God's word in a way not many can.

"I can barely breathe. God help me." These words have had so much meaning recently. God is sovereign. He is in control over EVERYTHING. When we go through storms in our lives believe me it's for a divine purpose. God wants our hearts. He wants us to seek Him. He wants us to trust Him and put our hope and faith in Him. There are times He will bring us to a point where we can barely breathe. But rest assured, He is there listening when we pray and cry out to Him. He's waiting for us to do just that. He wants us to trust Him and to show us that He is God. Men ought to always pray and not lose heart. Never stop praying! Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord. Who puts his hope in the Lord (Jeremiah 17:7-8). Embrace the storms in your life. God is sovereign. He is in control over all things. He wants our hearts. He wants us to love Him. Before I even woke up this morning. Today is 05/02/209, and it's 7:31am MDT, before I even woke up, I could hear my head singing this song, I have only heard it on K-love, I knew it was Plumb singing it bcuz I could always recognize her voice in her music. So I woke up singing, help me to move, help me to stay, help me to do whatever you're asking of me, but I didn't know the name of the song, but I remembered that it's from plumb, let me just look up her name and see the titles that come up... than as I was listening to this song, I kept feeling sheaves and chills running down my head and face. I feel like this was my morning prayer this morning when I had no words to put it together, but my soul knew exactly what I needed to hear in order to say it to my God. Praying and remember that mental health is a horrible truth just like physical health. A lot dont believe that but it is true. I've been a Christian since 11 and now 56.. Life happens and you will make mistakes. I don't have answers except Jesus and prayer and a good doctor and medications are fine to take if needed. I do.. It is a battle sometimes. AS a new Christian I think it is life changing . At 11.. I was so happy and felt different and wanted all to know truth.. For several days.. then 7th and 8th hit and pulling my horrible decisions took me to some sad places and I begged God to help.. Fitting in was more important then I guess. I'm 56 years old..I made it through high school depressed up and down over one boyfriend , one. Whom did first love me.. and after all the many sermons I'd heard or my mom told me sometimes, sex and drinking were it.The worst horrible.I was S Baptist but believed that God would strike me down or to may still go straight to hell at least on earth. Well my boyfriend was a friend, I made mistakes and all the warnings and preaching I lost because Of this boyfriend. YES I had sex early just him until later ...But I can look back at that horrible bulling caused me sin and hurt so bad in 7th and 8th. Somehow God used this one boy whom I didnt even date anyine else even though asked because I did t want anyine else. HE was a football player and we strong and me Sophmore, jr, senior. We still stayed close but he was young and cheated too. But oh my now I know how much God loves me.. This boyfriend I cried over a lot byt all the bullying, over, and I do know now threw all the prayers and begging when he cheated on me or left and cheated on them. He stopped anyone that he ever knew that wanted to ask me out. Threatened warned others told me later he absolutely was going to beat up a nice boy. I did really like another guy my jr summer .. He stopped him too.. It was a crazy relationship and we were young this was 5 years of my life.. looking back in my sin with the I ne boyfriend of youth I see that God did stip the bullying I did mive on and had friends, clubs and more. I did have some freedom and those years if I hadnt had Christ.. oh my.. since I was already looking for love and acceptance even though a young Christian.. If I had never known Him who knows where pr what I sinful me would have done...I have even more stories that get worse Nd better and oh married 3 adult sons, one in jail an addict off and on since 14 and he is 29 now. That is a killer story. Added to depression that I don't think I will get my brain totally back from the nightmare or trauma caused...I am remarried now to one God blessed me with. Life is hard. As a new Christian at any age please know God didn't save you because of good deeds nor will you be lost or go to hell when bad mistakes happen. He shows up so many times looking back I see how He used my mess to protect me. He loved me and used me in so many ways. I read my Bible... a verse or so a day..Went to church until the last few years of trying to find a new one but online still .. I'm telling you that in Christ there is freedom. In Christ you have the Holy Spirit and He is more than a conscious he will lead and you can't stay in a big sinful life long.. You will not feel comfortable and God does discipline us too and it is hard. Depression I fight daily . I have good and bad times. Can u break free with God absolutely!! Jesus is the way, truth and life. We all are still sinners. All of us.. Depression can come from in or out and also know, I learned late, satan is the oppressor.. to me it meant he really loves it when I'm down.. He will attack u in weakness.. He maybe using your depression now to tell you it will be worse. I'm so sorry and rebuke satan by scripture.. that is the sword in the Bible... Believe and say outloud, "Greater is He living in me than he in the world.." Outloud because he doesn't have your thoughts Jesus does... Hold on and trust and believe.. you will get knocked down.. But God will get u back up. I feel bad today I'm typing to remind me too ... praying God will lift us up! I have no idea who you are and when you wrote the post. I don't really tell that HS story of years ago well to anyone.. my husband loves me I hope or that us my bad decision depression add on today. So I spilled out a lot to you. I'm sorry. I need prayer and freedom too. Believe it or not somehow....God used you and this song. Thank you

After you have a stroke you can sing this song everyday the rest of your life, because there is not a day the rest of your life that you aren't recovering from your stroke. You have to work harder then you've ever worked in your life when you have a stroke at recovery. If you don't then you will be in the same position you are left in after your stroke. You life is never the same after a stroke, the life you had before your stroke is dead and gone. You have a new life and a new reality that you have to live in then. What will you do then? Just accept it and stay in the condition your stroke left you in? Or are you going to fight as hard and work as hard as you can to recover and get back as much of your old life as possible? You need God every day the rest of your life. You need God to help you through the times when the things you can't do because of your stroke get too tough to face and deal with. You need God when being a stroke survivor just sucks so much and you want it to end. Every stroke is different, every stroke victim is different, every stroke recovery is different. The road of a stroke recovery is a hard road and long too, it's a road the will never end for a stroke survivor. But God is with you anyway.

Four years of separation from my husband and he comes back home and in July we have made it back together for 2 years but it's still not working bc he has been having an affair for over a year of those two years we have been back together!! So I am now about to get a divorce and then 28 YEARS of my life will be in the past as far as he & I are concerned!! We do have one son who is now almost 23 but it still effects the children no matter how young or old!! I really love this song, it speaks to me in many ways, but most of all.I really need God's help from day to day, I cannot do anything without him. I like your boldness in the song to sing and put yourself out for God to use you. I know God will bless you, just keep singing for him, and trust him.

Ive been listening to plumb since her first album i was only 13 ,im 30 now. I always loved her voice, its so unique.

I had an anxiety attack a few days ago. Thinking about my grandmas fight w cancer. To losing my friend n March to cancer. And then the death of my uncle. To my brother being n rehab. It took its toll on me. I put music on. This song was on my playlist. And it really describe what I was feeling it calm me down. I've been sober from alcohol for 21 months. Reborn Christian. And I really wanted to give it all up. I know God knows what he's doing. And up to this point he's held me together. And I can't lose hope or faith in his way.

Take all my resistance, God I need your way. (For those of us with strong drive to not give up or give in, this really touches our soul- especially those times when we let our God given talents get in the way of God's plan) Beautiful Song! ;- )

TBVH, the poetic “Herp” sound in this song makes for light humor. It can be awkward for us mere’s to need someone, even when it’s Our most perfect Father, God, so I got jokes, “To sit here in this silence and really hear you...HERP.” Now u can’t unhear it. Now u gotta come to terms with Plumb’s poetic HERP. You’re welcome for that

I could never get tired of listening to this song! It's so beautiful and heartfelt!

I love that she sings about our everyday struggle. It's not all great as some Christians make it seems. We as followers of Christ struggle and it's okay.

Wow! The song itself is good, but the video really brings out the emotion I think we all have felt at one time or another on our walk with God.
