"I'm here with my buddy Creepy Vincent." "Hi" *awkward pause*

I thought I misheard Matt calling him "creepy" Vincent 😂
I think they missed the obvious point...doing squats with the weight in front is a counter-balance. The heavier the dumbbell in front, the more upright one must keep the torso to avoid falling forward, forcing good form on the squat. I actually find it easier to maintain correct upright form with an 80 pound dumbbell than with a 20 pound dumbbell in the goblet squat. Once proper squatting position is forced at the bottom of the movement it will improve flexibility in all the muscles involved.

This. It also forces you to use the quads to come out from the bottom which can help people with their "good morning" squats where the weight shifts to the posterior chain and leads to lower back pain.... goblet squats are the BEST exercise to transition into a barbell squat

Great insight. Front squats are overrated.

The goblet squats and romanian dumbell deadlifts are definitely way easier to learn proper form before going to the barbell. For the first year of training, they are the way to go to prevent injuries.
I tend to have apt when I squat, goblet squatting has helped fix that!
All your info is very valuable in my opinion, thank you. Vincent really does not like to smile, does he? :-)

Smiling is inefficient use of time.
I see shoulder forward flexion, and he is stuck in that position I think a hex bar is the best way to be precise in form, don't interfere with shins, does not put weight in front of you and does not put weight on your back and keeps you centered and unlike dumbbell's, you know both arms are on the same path with weight.
Good job guys, I really like where this channel going 👍🏾
very cool to think about, thanks!
This is helpful. I will want to watch more!

Goblet Squat Vs Dumbbell Squat Which is best?

Goblet squat is best.
I don’t think you should have a bar on your back until you do goblet squat work first if you’re a beginner
Watching cause that half rack. I want one for a 6'1 guy to be able to chins without feet touching ground.

2 guys with small legs teaching how to do squats.

Warriorlike1: I have to agree with you. I have been training for many years and went from a scrawny 135 Lb. high school senior to 310 Lbs. at 6'1" without drugs. I have always made an effort to learn more about training by reading and watching everything I could but my real education took place in the gym, not from an exercise book written by some guys who look like the ones in this video. I know what works and what doesn't because I have actually experienced it. Exercise theory does have value but I have found there is no substitute for actual experience.
This video missed the mark for me. It took too long to explain and I had to watch twice because your mannerisms and tone were dull. You don’t have to be animated but at least act as though you are somewhat excited to be educating folks that land on your channel.
