I am so happy for Gobi, I'm from China, I cried 3 times for Gobi, first time I cried for Gobi is such a brave four-legged boy and best friend that ran together all the way with Dion to cross through the desert . I admire Gobi. second time I cried when I learned Gobi was lost while he was fostered by Dion's friend in China, I was so sad and worried about Gobi at the time. Now I'm crying but I am so happy that Gobi reunited with his dad Dion and his mom who love him with their heart and soul and Gobi deserves the love from his mom and dad, all people who love him including me, he deserves the forever happy family ! Thank you so much Dion and your wife! Bless you all! Thank you the Chinese family that found Gobi and all other Chinese people who helped find Gobi. Show less

Those dogs are adorable. Interestingly they are small to medium. In US the dogs seem bigger

Gobi seemed like (worried....are you taking me away from my master???) but Lucja Mum was so sweet to Gobi she calmed down as time went on. Gobi seems like he likes to run! What a useful donation for Chris! Wish all the best to all!

When they first met he had to look to Dad and say--is she ok? When Dad said this is your Mum things changed. Lots more licks for sure. It's so good to have this nice family for everyone to see!!! Great ending too!!!!

Phyllis Steging Hahaha!!! I caught that right away, too, Phyllis!!! Gobi looks around and locked eyes with her dad as if to say, "who IS this" or......."you're not going anywhere again, are ya, dad??" Those big brown eyes of hers looked right away for her security blankie, her dad!! I'm sure now she loves her mama just as much but it was too cute the way she sought out her dad for confirmation that she was in good hands & needn't worry........After that, bring on the licks!!! I've played just the part of her looking back at Dion several times because you can read little Gobi's mind......SHE'S JUST SO PRECIOUS!!!! All the days & nights she has spent in her young life looking for food and never having a secure, warm place to lay her head are over now. She knows that her dad is her guardian angel and her mom, too.

Gobi is such a cool-looking dog.

Dogs are put here on earth to be our companions and to show us what real love looks like. I'm sure of that. I have never been without a dog in my entire life, including going with me to different countries. Dogs saved me so many times in my life and I miss every single dog I've ever had. This is a lovely story!

I had a similar story with a dog in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Unfortunately I was told that he got shot down just days after I had left to fly back home to Sweden. I still had my hopes up though, didn’t want to believe it. Looked up the adoption process from Cook Islands to Sweden but it required a quarantine which I couldn’t put together from abroad . :( I feel empty in my heart for this story to never have a happy ending. This was in the year of 2000, so he is obviously not alive still. He followed me around daily, I was riding a pedal bike, I spent 7 weeks there cause I loved it so much!!! But this story still breaks my heart ❤️

I’m currently living apart from my partner and our fur children, however he brings our little girls to come visit me every week. When I saw the a video documenting the story, I kept looking for more and more videos as she totally reminds me of our little girls and the story is so heart warming. She keeps reminding me of my babies and making me smile as a result. Thank you.

I just finished reading the book !! Since I found the book so exciting and so beautiful, I only had 2 days to read the whole book. I wish Dion and Gobi all the best and love..

So lovely!! She's a little uhmm, ok, she's all about her Papi, but she warms up to Mom. Thank you so much for your kindness to this dog, as well as bringing awareness to the plight and suffering of abandoned animals. I read your book and love the fact that you give recognition to the people from China who helped you out of kindness and without interest. There are many brave activists in China, risking their own safety many times to expose cruelty and abhorrent brutality in the meat trade and animals black market, exploitation and poaching.

I hope there will be more homeless dogs in China that will be adopted. I also hope the "Dog Eating Festival" in Guilin of Guangxi province in China can be banned forever and ever soon!!

Have you ever considered how you get milk? A cow has to be pregnant time after time during her lifetime and her calves are sent to shambles. Why only dog?

So many sad stories of abandoned/abused/neglected animals. If everyone could send even $5 to an animal rescue group (especially those like Animal Aid Unlimited n India or one n the Philippines, Thailand, etc that do so much with so little) or volunteer a few hrs a month at a local rescue EVERY DOG WOULD HAVE A HAPPY ENDING LIKE GOBI !!! So glad he found such a loving family.

"Finding Gobi " I,m at page 226 as I took it to work yesterday ,will finish it Today Oooop s .Guys Im 58 ,I used to do Ultra events ,but nothing further than 100kms ,done 6 of them in the past .Now Im overweight .All 3 of you have Inspired people in so many different ways ,you cant even begin to imagine ? Going to get fit again,lose this weight ,go running and find myself a loyal 4 legged running buddy .Can't wait for the Film to come out ,Happy Christmas and all the very Best in the New Year ,Bear :)
