If you have a understanding of the position and the correct technique then I think you could play, but you also have to understand the field and the players, you have to be the voice of the team.

You can, but if you're completely new to this position then I recommend you don't follow this video, this training is for more-developed keepers rather than people who are just starting, I'd recommend trying for a school team so you can get a basic understanding of the form you need, once you have perfected the form everything else will just fall into place, you can't begin most puzzles without a corner piece.
