Love it , The unfortunate truth is that even though we all want the badass multi thousand dollar bikes , when you jump on something like this you remember what motorbiking was all about , just having a laugh . Maybe I should have typed "the fortunate truth " . Liking very much :)

The 'Ratfink' bike reminds me of a flat tracker (for youth riders), just change the tires and handle bars.

Why did he throw the fenders out and put off road tires on? Only Rat-Fink knows.

The small cc bikes are the funnest the ride all the big bikes with all that power it's said and done and they're too quick then you got to let off the throttle these smaller cc bikes you just have so much fun you could throw them around and they won't kill you right away like a ninja

Fun fact: In 1966 an obscure director by the name of Ray Dennis Steckler made a superhero spoof on a shoestring budget called „Rat Pfink a Boo Boo“ (the former is the name of the „superhero“, the latter the name of his sidekick), this flic is stooopid but funny & they drive bikes… Look it up & watch it if you stumble over it.

If you can find a running CB550 four , no dents in the tank , still ridable , CB750 front fork legs complete front and rear plastic fenders , a corben seat or style that can be modded to fit a pair of front fork damper rods from a 1974 - 1976 CR250 , a pair of rear shocks from a 1975- 1979. GL1000 ...your choice of rear off road twilight license plate holder . 4 into 1 Hooker header or equivalent as it must have an upsweep megaphone like the hooker model for that bike is made. Four main Jets number 120 from a stock CB750,,, a front countershaft transmission sprocket from a cb350 twin ,4 k&n filters for the carburetors (optional) or chop the top out of the air box ... Original style handlebars from the early CR250 .. and a set of Hoosier knobs would be cool if you can get a front in a 19 ...find or make up an extended hydraulic front brake cable to fit the stock master cylinder on the bars to stick straight up loop over and into those eyelets that bolts on the triple clamps pinch bolts old school style and run right down the fork leg into the calendar...specs. top speed 121 mph at 11,500 RPM in 5th gear... Front and rear suspension travel. 152.4mm / 139.7mm code name ; bandit class : all state ,model #'RV550 EL CAMINO , capacity -: capable of invading high speed pursuit..... I will personally volunteer my time and make a pilgrimage dedicated to the assembly of the bandit in exchange for a camp spot at Kaplan cycles and museum ... And I'll be traveling pretty light on xr1200 no room for the tools necessary to do this job and as bad as both of us hate to loan kills I'm not asking to borrow any if there's a harbor freight nearby I can buy the shoes I'll need to do it with for less than 100 bucks I'm leaving there for your next apprentice for his first starter kit.... Kaplan the reason I brought this up about the 550 I seen the look on your face with your rat fink return to thunderdome model and buddy that is the type of bikes we all had in the 60s and 70s growing up in a place called West terre Haute /(west T. ) That's two mile west of the county and City jail on the banks of the Wabash where the white people live and everything on the west side of the banks to West T was the city of terre Haute trash dump is where the river rats lived mainly us and four-legged rats big as cocker spaniels that would whip any cat's ass .. then the downtown metropolitan area we had the combo fire police water company and car number one the only one , IGA grocery store on the next corner with across the street with hills Honda triumph Husqvarna and John penton 6-day trials 125 sitting in the showroom window main Street was June's dog & suds. With girls on wheels on the north side of the tracks was Isaac Walton Beach.... That was part of northlake and a Old brick Factory with a tailings pile over 150 ft to the top of it that's where they had the triump and BSA drag races vertical Motocross today it would have been called and just to the west of there was Ferguson Hill containing School... And the home of our guru and mentor moose mouse squirrel and Chucky the rat is what they called me.... And our clubhouse was a two car garage where we manufactured Pro mods and beer can Derby trail bikes from The midnight Auto supply five finger discount walk away prices blue night specials. That looked a lot like exactly what you're writing today in this video But now that I painted you a picture of our metropolitan area you can imagine what it was like in the 60s and 70s growing up there and there's always someone who wants to upstate you no matter what kind of s*** you come up with or ideas or adventures.... And in the same town where the rich rats that built rats 396s and 427s and for pit bikes ground up mini bike with suspension front and rear powered up with 350 twins at first and then a few 650 Bonneville and the ultimate was CB 754 cylinder sitting in a men's bike frame with air shocks front and rear... Quarter midget roadster wheels and slicks..... But we still battle the Big blocks as we owned baseball drag strip we had marked off outside of town with a brand new Nickey Chevrolet Z28 LT350 Corvette under the hood. Dunno cam and solids 870 double pumper. Rockford Rock crusher straight cut 4 speed close ratio hooked to a Dana 60 with 411 posi hijackers with Mickey Thompson's. Top speed 150 mph at 8500 on the stock tach was red line. .. here is our gangs hot rod provided to us by moose's cousin mouse who had Deep pockets but glaucoma and more glasses with Coke bottles bottoms for lenses. My pockets were always empty but I had 20/20 vision so we became the mouse rat racing team sponsored by moose with Earl the squirrel rpr man and bookkeeper.... All is fine for us we were in the run... Earl had to venture out farther each time as nobody in West T wanted to deal with it at 100 bucks a run so we are racing guys from Clinton home of the Little Italy festival and Paris Illinois where I went to school. Anyway we were having our monthly wild turkey shootout at Moses trailer and ran out of Pepsi and mouse did the unthinkable and toss the keys to the z to Earl the squirrel and tell him to go down and get some more pop so it was an easy task about a mile and a half off a person Hill across the tracks in the west T the liquor stores right there .. but that day it was raining like cats and dogs and from the police report squirrel didn't make it to the liquor store as they said the way he came across the tracks is when he lost control hit three part cars on each side of us 150 coming into town and hit another car head on .. Earl the squirrel came out without a scratch that's been a few days down at the cop Shop polishing up the cities REO Speedwagon and Barney's 61 Galaxy... But I couldn't even go look at the z from what they said I just I just didn't have a heart to see it like they said it looked I mean that car was mine when I was behind the wheel I owned the road and pawned all the noobs 100 bucks every time ... That was about 2 weeks before we saw a mouse again he come up to the garage and new 307 four-door Chevelle to speed powerglide beige vinyl top brown bottom with hub caps on it and bias tires .. I'm saying like most there's mouse and I'm like running up the mouses the car door mouse you hear from the insurance company yet has Nickey ordered a new one .... But mouse looked at me with tears in his eyes and said guys I I didn't tell you but mommy was he wanted to give me permission to buy the z and she said with a warning that's it no more the next one is mine and then he said and this is it and we both cry like. babies buddy I mean it was a sad sad day the moose and squirrel rat and mouse racing team of The fast and furious has it began was furiously over when Mrs mouse reminded us of the Golden rule that is she who has the gold rules

I built the combo I just described with a CB550 four . It was quite a conversation piece ...those 1976 cr250r damper rods drop in to the CB750 fork legs giving you 6 inches of wheel travel and are longer than the CB550 fork legs and the same diameter so they fit in the CB550 triple clamps ...and if you can find a fork brace you can move it to the top of the fork legs and tap it 6mm to mount on any plastic motocross fender...the goldwing shocks on the back are longer that stock and will give you about 5 1/2 inches of rear wheel travel
