Remember they all were able to give their insight on each other so some of this could be his group members view of him. However, kudos to Bobby because he gave the permission to allow it. I feel his response in the scene was how he felt during that incident. It’s a miracle Bobby is still alive today!👏🏽👏🏽

@@rissaceehart4076 Bobby was most definitely portrayed as the black sheep of the group but I recall the scene right after he was kicked out of the group where he was alone and nearly broke down in tears. That was so sad because despite his ego and selfishness deep down he felt betrayed by his boys that he grew up with and considered brothers.

This whole series was beyond awesome. So proud of the work they put in and overcoming a lot of issues.

Jay Cold What Ralph meant by that is if he had taken the solo deal offered to him by Maurice when they were kids everything would have shut down. No one knew about the deal until it was revealed in the movie. Also, Mike's career would have ended when he tried to kill Bobby with a pair of scissors during a fight. This is the scene where Mike spits on Bobby and he jumps out of the limo. Management wanted to fire Mike, but Bobby stepped up and said no he stays.

From an interview I saw, Uncle Brooke actually had the heart attack the day before this fight. That is why Ronnie came to the show late - because he had gone to visit his uncle at the hospital. I guess the production team thought it would make a better scene this way.

This is the saddest thing I've seen. I didn't know Brooke had a heart attack that same night. You know you messed up when even Ronnie goes off on you. Bobby got me tight throughout the whole thing. I don't know what he was doing stepping to Johnny like that. What Mike said to Ralph was uncalled for in my opinion cause Ralph made so many sacrifices for him and NE. Then his wife is another problem. Ricky not having a backup plan breaks my heart cause for him especially it turned to the worst. At that time watching this I didn't know how the hell they were gonna turn it all around...

There was another incident that happened where someone died. It had to do with what I thought was between New Edition and Guy but it was between the production/road crews of both acts. That was on the news but NOBODY said anything about it. Teddy Riley just recently reiterated that it was between their crews and not the 2 groups. Back then they shut that down. Nobody talked.

It’s crazy to see how NE can recover from anything, had an entire brawl and still talk to this day

Keith’s Story Issa joke

Loved the mini-series, and this is probably my single favorite scene. Major props to Keith Powers and Luke James for their performance here. All the guys were great but those two really impress me the most in this scene.

They all have great chemistry with one other they all bring their charm personality to the role Woody is cocky rebellious but when the time comes caring bobby Byshere is the mature and conscious mike Algee is the happy and enecentric Ralph Keith is the smooth nonchalant cool Ronnie Elijah the caring loyal and peaceful Ricky And luke is posh and charming johnny The child actors killed it too

One of the best if not the best scene in the series. The acting all around was great... felt like brothers fighting for real

Along with his marriage to Whitney, Bobby was still eating off of his catalog and music publishing. Luckily Johnny was able to bounce back on the music scene quick with that LSG supergroup. Their album was straight dope. Mike was able to use his business savy to start his own label, discovering acts such as Boyz II Men and Another Bad Creator. So he was eating steady. Ronnie found his backup plan in real estate and now he owns his own real estate firm DeVoe Reality. From the looks of things, Ricky and Ralph got the short end of the stick. Ricky's publishing was garnished to pay back fees from the incomplete Home Again tour. With no back up plan and Amy not working, he lost his house and turned to drugs. Ralph ended up getting finessed in his divorce, losing the house, his kids, the cars and assets. Now he hosts a radio show in Boston called Inside The Ride Luckily they all made it through

My thing is Ronnie came more than 2 hours late to the time BBD was supposed to go on that night and Ricky and Mike told Bobby to keep performing until he showed up. But in turn he goes off on and comes at Bobby side ways then all that shit occurred! Like you partially responsible too shit!!! Don't put it all on him. They didn't communicate for shit and all this could have been avoided.

Here's the thing, BBD did an interview on the Breakfast Club recently and they said Ronnie's uncle had his heart attack in L.A., not in Las Cruces like it was depicted in the movie and that was the reason Ronnie was late, not to mention his bus broke down! He was pissed because Bobby didn't bother to check up on him nor his uncle more so than him hogging the stage, even though Bobby had a history going overtime on stage! They way I see it, Ronnie was the quiet, laid back dude in the group so if he snapped, he probably had very good reason!

Juicy Jay Exactly. Bobby had been pulling stunts during that whole tour so Ronnie’s anger was already there. Okay, maybe Ronnie was misguided on that night, but an ass whoop was coming to Bobby. I wasn’t mad.

It was not Bobby Brown fault it was all they fault he hated seeing them fighting like that.

Bobby was shady AF. He admitted that he had side deals with the promoter and was getting money from some of the sponsors too, without telling the others. That's just low down. He was all for Bobby.

No one seems to be mentioning that he was smoking heavily too. his Health was a factor. But overall it was a great mini series they actually performed the hits. these guys deserve Emmy nominations and Grammy nominations too.

I always wondered who the guy with the glasses was in the beginning of the if it isn't love video, now I know. Much respect to Brooke Payne.

This was so sad

this movie was phenomenal I really love these guys definitely my favorite singing group

I saw NE on this tour in Atlanta at the Omni in Feb 97, it’s funny because during one part of the show when they were all together on stage Bobby began singing and Ronnie eventually cut him off and Bobby “jokingly” made a remark about it, seemed to be part of the act but it’s clear there was real tension during that tour, i must say though I’ve never seen a show where the guys looked out of character, always kept it professional on stage.

Now this is proof to know that Brooke cares about these boys he knew back then they had lots of brotherhood but it was destroying piece by piece it was too much for Brooke to see his boys/sons to see them fight... even Brooke’s own heart was breaking 💔

What made this miniseries good overall is that every member was involved with the production. I think what makes the series great is that it has a happy ending and all members are back together to this day 💯👏

I just honestly find this so sad, that this is what NE actually came to! You think about the innocence and their tight friendship in the beginning of their career or in the movie and then it comes to all of them fist fighting and cussing at each other. Man fame really changes the heart!

The moment the mother's removed Brook it was a problem because he was the only one who could stop them fight.

This mini series introduced New Edition to younger fans that's like 3 generations where they have their core fan base and their kids and their kids enjoying New Edition and singing their songs

Keith's performance always gives me chills! He did that 👏🏾

To think Luke James(Johnny) and Elijah Kelley(Ricky) were both on the Fox series Star, while Bryshere Y. Gray(Michael) and Wood Harris(Brooke) were both on Empire.

If they don't get a Grammy for this movie I'm jumping off a cliff!!!

Jamal Smalls its just Called 'The Bobby Brown Story'

Love NE, the cast did an awesome job portrying these very talented men. The entire cast from boys to adults. The acting was so real, this scene touched my heart. Mr. Brooke Payne may not have known the financial side of the industry but it seems he was a father figure and protector of the men, not just choreographer.. It's a gift that he was in their lives . Thanks for the Biopic.

Like the whole movie bobby was making me mad but other wise this whole thing was excellent

But it wasn't entirely Bobby's fault, miscommunication and all of their egos was the cause of the break-up. Bobby was told to keep going because Ronnie was late, and when Ronnie got their he thought Bobby was just being a glory-hound but the others didn't tell him they told Bobby to keep going.

Ralph turn down alot of Record deals for New Edition when they were Younger and they just dnt know he never told them thats luv and a REAL FRIEND but I think its time Ralph tell what happen and Why they became big in the first Place because Ralph had so much love for New Edition they were family a Team a pack and Ralph wasnt letting nothing break them up PERIODT!!!! Alway luv Ralph he deserves a lot of Respect he made sure the Group came FIRST PERIODT!!!! LUV you Ralph and New Edition alway

when I saw this on the BET on TV in Fresno California I did not know they have problems it was surprised to me when I saw on this I said wow I started crying because when I seen them when they were little they were like brothers another still our brothers and always and forever but this part made me cry and hurt but it was a good movie I should say parts and parts you should just made this as a movie not Parts by part one and two and three but it's good I like it I'll give it a number one hit movie show
