Taper : David Habbel

FOB 3rd Row Center
Sony ECM 939LT > Marantz Cassette Deck > Dat
Dat Tape > Sony PCM-R500 > Korg Mr-1000 > Audio Gate > Adobe Audition CS6 > Traders Little Helper
Got this dat tape a while back and just dug it out of a box of stuff . Seems that the taper either stopped deck in between songs or when converting to dat tape put cuts in and cut out tunning , talking etc. I tried to smooth it out best i can and since i haven't seen this show circulate i figured i would convert dat tape clean it up some and upload it so enjoy ..Joe

Yes. Saw them at a place called My Father's Place in Roslyn NY (Long Island). I was standing right over Brents shoulder watching him play. Black Flag, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Aerosmith, The Police, Tom Petty, as well as hopeful comics Billy Crystal, Eddie Murphy, and Andy Kaufman, and a host of others graced that stage. Here is a quote from the owner. "My name is Michael “Eppy” Epstein In 1971, I opened My Father’s Place at 19 Bryant Avenue in Roslyn with Richie Havens as our first performer. I operated at that location until 1987. It was fun and dangerous. I operated My Father’s Place in various locations in Roslyn, Queens, Westbury and recently in Glen Cove. Now we are back in Roslyn and back in business as a Supper Club inside The Roslyn Hotel."

Oh, yeah! Thanks much for this upload. I lost the only bootleg of this act aoooo many moons ago. Hard to find a source. Lost My DayJob---literally!! This was a dicey era. The Grateful Dead were out of work w/ Garcia sidelined from the July diabetic coma. Billy, Brent, Mickey, Phil, and Bobby were trying to stay out of the unemployment line w/ their fingers crossed for a hopeful continuing future w/ the Grateful Dead and Jerry.

Damn.... I was attending UWM in 1986 and this is the first I heard that they played there. Maybe if I would have gone to class more I would have seen a flyer or something.
