RIP James Casey. Played with all his heart and soul. You can see Billy giving him a big nod and smile during that jam at the 7:08 mark and Santana smiling to him around the 8:00 minute mark. Always a joy to hear James play.

What an experience for Billy to play with Carlos.... I'm so happy for him, and glad for all of us that get to witness it! Beautiful set, fellas! Everyone sounded great!

Got my attention!!! How did they do that? I mean, That's Carlos Santana...One of the very best in the world, Everyone says.

I was reading the Live Chat comments for a bit. Lots of people criticizing .... friends it's only one jam filling up our lives and giving peace and happiness for 10 mins. I say let's celebrate and appreciate collaborative, spontaneous music/art whether it's a guitar icon or my grand-daughter banging on my old Harmony flat top.

Carlos played on the same bill as the Dead at a Mountain Aire in Angles Camp --- He started on the Dead's first two songs -- Aiko and All Along the Watchtower -- As good as it gets.

It took 8 minutes for the camera person to find Billy. I kept thinking “there’s some other guitar part here that is clearly not Santana. Where is it?” Awesome stuff though. The Dead’s catalog is timeless and also ready for a new generation.

I feel our friend Jerry seeping through those guitars. 🙏🏻😌☮️

Unreal, this is fantastic I could listen to an airtight band like this for days

He is the best musician I know, hands down. The way he writes songs. Sings, plays guitar with Carlos Santana and does not lack behind an iota. He could play all of them into the ground, if he wanted to. And he is half the age, if that... Oh and he just looks awesome in this outfit!!!

Jerry got much of his melodic sensibility from playing bluegrass. Billy has incredible melodic sensibility from bluegrass playing and it transfers to electric so nicely. Hope to see him do more of this in the future.

Not sure about Billy Strings, but the Dead and Santana played together plenty - seen them in 87 together with Carlos sitting in on "Good Morning Little School Girl" and "In the Midnight Hour". Great stuff right here. Id take this over Dead and Co any day
