I was researching John Grant after seeing him on David Letterman when I came across this acoustic version of GMF with backing vocals by Sinead O'Connor & Daughter. It shows just how well this man can sing.

Too right they wint..were anything but perfect here in the UK ( I'm from Liverpool) but one thing we very much have on tv is freedom of speech,all sexual persuasions are celebrated & religion is more tolerated than ever dictated..Yeah the US is great to visit...but getting on the plane to leave again is rather good too .. Very good artist he is, first acquaintance of him I had was Sinead singing Queen of Denmark in her last album. I am glad seeing Sinead and her daughter together, they look pretty, lovely!

Awesome! Thanks for posting this. I have loved John's voice for many years when he sang with the "Czars" and of course Sinead has a voice of Gold. Nice to see her daughter has the gift as well.

I like this version because he gets to talk a bit about the song's meaning and watching Sinead really get into singing this beautiful song and then realizing that she's singing the f-bomb with her daughter. At times she is moving head back and forth, closing her eyes but then she looks at her daughter and starts to giggle a bit.

One of my favorite moments of this beautiful and funny video.

I'm Icelandic and I have heard Gaelic. It sounds nothing like Icelandic in my ears. LOL. It sounds more like Dutch in my opinion but then again I'm not a Gaelic or Dutch speaker so...

Sinead looks so comfortable on stage. In real life, not so much. RIP songbird!!

No offense to the singer, but it’s a crime for Sinead to be a backup singer. I’m sure (or I’m guessing) that’s not how she would feel, tho. She seemed to genuinely enjoy collaborating. Such a generous soul. ❤️

Great vocals. Horrid lyrics & that wouldn't change if I reached the pinnacle of enlightenment, Nirvana.

Sad to see the musical phenom Sinead O'Connor who will occupy musical greatness in history a back up singer for this John Grant who will occupy music history for a moment.
