Do you know of a way to drain the tank beforehand so it isn't so heavy?

You can stick a siphon down the fuel tank and siphon the fuel out

Update: I replaced my fuel pump the next weekend after this comment four months ago. I had to drop the fuel tank the same way it was done in the video. Unfortunately, I couldn't just siphon the fuel out of the tank as it had an anti-siphoning lock deep inside the fuel neck. I had a helper, and 3 floor jacks. For me dropping the tank was the hardest part, but then it was fairly straight-forward. I cut the floor after I dropped the tank, got it out of the way and cleaned everything so I don't have to drop it again just for that in the future. Then used self-tapping screws to secure an aluminum sheet and cover the hole. Used all-purpose caulk as a sealer and the job was perfect. As for you Rolando Robles, thank you. You are the real deal!
