hah just bought a 2015 and the key fob is so worn looking I couldn't tell what was what. did not even know this truck had remote start!!! very cool especially when its extra hot out and I want it to have a few minutes to cool down inside a bit. or extra cold out .

The windows feature is great as it’s really hot at times where I live and I take my dog places often. I roll the windows down, then put her in the back seat area on the passenger side and not have her breathing that hot air in the truck while I walk around it.

I was disappointed that my 2018 GMC Sierra SLT didn't have remote start, WRONG, it does. I wouldn't have known if not for you! Also didn't know my mirrors would remotely fold. Thanks you nitro3899, brilliant vid.

Don't feel bad, close fiends of ours have a nice newer Tahoe for *a couple years* (we live in a winter climate region) and had no clue they had remote start either, until they noticed their remote fob looked just like our Acadia's, and we remote started it in front of them. It was humorous seeing the look on their face when they remote-started their Tahoe the first time.

On my ‘15 no need to click lock once before holding; just a press and hold folds mirrors. No need to click unlock before holding; just press and hold and windows come down.

You have to use the controls inside to roll the windows back up.

hi, how do i change the run time on a 2015 GMC factory remote start so it runs longer than 10 minutes?

You can make it run an additional 10 minutes if you do the key fob procedure again. While the vehicle is running after a remote start, press lock then hold the ignition button, and it will give you 10 more minutes. You will get the lights on the vehicle to flash for confirmation

You can also turn the truck off with the key fob. Press the unlock button and then hold the start/half circle button. Remember to lock the doors afterwards.

Yes, I just tried it on my 2018. I don't have the auto folding mirrors though on my SLE.

No, you have to roll them up from the inside.

I couldn't get my 2014 GMC Crew Cab Sierra SLT 4x4 to roll down the windows or fold in the mirrors. The remote start works fine, though. Which is strange because the 2011 Ram I had before came with all those features.

Just push the start button again and the motor will die, or put the key in the ignition and turn it off.

After you program the mirrors to go up and down you showed us how to open them but you didn't show us how to close them back with the remote touch

Just push and hold one time. You don't have to press the button twice. At least that's how the Denali key fob works.
