Hey man, curious if you’ve ran into this problem before. After disconnecting my air filter housing and replacing the passenger side bulb, and then putting it all back together, Now my check engine light is on and my mass airflow sensor is being wonky. All I did was unplug it, remove it from the hose, switch the light, reconnected it all, and tighten the strap, and plugged it back in. I had the mass airflow sensor wiring and hose all replaced about two years ago, so I know it’s not deteriorated.

I didn't. But I've found the Mafs on this truck to be kinda junky. Unplug the MAFs , check for clean connection pins, plug and back and make sure it snaps good. If it's not locked in, vibration interrupts the connection. It's likely something is up with the cable.

@@VanDelayVids the connector clip is broke from a previous bulb replacement, but this is the first time disconnecting the hose from the filter housing since they were replaced. My fans overcompensated cuz of it the first 2 drives, but then normal fans on the third, but still CE light on. Hopefully it’s a simple tinker during my next oil change this week

I'm sorry to hear that, the CE light can be annoying for sure. Id look at removing the MAF connection, checking for debris, and then securing it back again. After this clear the CE light and verify the code is in fact for the MAF. On these trucks at this age, its also possible that your throttle body is dirty and sticking. If you cleared the codes and still have some idle RPM issues, pull the throttle body side of your air intake hose, and look at the flap and most importantly, the walls of that throttle body, if they are dirty even a little, that sucker will stick!!!! @@jonrogers4738 even tho it's cleared you probably still have a code stored. If you have a odb go check it and see, clear it if it's there. You may be all set!
