Wow!!! I figured I had a bad electronic component that could not be repaired, and it was going to end up costing me close to $200 !!! Thanks for the video!!! I realized your dial was Celsius instead of Fahrenheit, and saw someone else didn't understand that until you explained. Awesome video!!!! You saved a lot of folks a lot of time and a lot of money!!! Thank you so much!!!!

Awesome!!!... My '04 Suburban's control stem is behind a closed panel, so no way to get the contact cleaner to the contacts. I used a 1/16" bit, drilled a small hole above the stem and squirted in a little WD-40, turned the controller back and forth a dozen times and bingo!

Dude, really? If this works, I owe you a beer or something. Lol. I'm trying this first since I was sure it was an issue with the circuit board or some kind of control module. I'm in a 2005 Suburban and the passenger side dial is doing the same thing. It's coming into winter but when I turn the dial up, the temp keeps gradually going down. Very frustrating. Thank you very much for the information!

Looking for additional help on this one. The contact cleaner works immediately upon spraying it and working the dial, but by the next day, it's back doing the same thing. I'll try using more contact cleaner to see if it eventually works all the time, but wondering if anyone else has experienced this. The fact that it seems to work immediately upon using the spray but then is back to being erratic the next day unless I use spray again has me scratching my head. Thanks
