I have a '04 Silverado, which is a pretty good truck, but the recent quality has dropped.

$8,000 pickup , dream on !!!

You're gullible if you think it's only going to cost $8,000.

20 years ago GM were quality vehicles, not any more. And I will believe they will sell a pickup for 8000 when I see it.

1.2 liter motor? That’s not enough.

@markvincent5992 a 3 cylinder 1.2 liter turbo making 133 HP and 155 lb-ft. of torque isn't enough for a compact pickup? Let me put this into perspective for you a 1996 F150 XLT with a 4.9 IL 6 made 145 HP and 235 lb-ft. of torque. A 1994 Camaro z-28 with a 5.7 liter 350 only made 275 HP. If Chevy is talking about a 1980s S-10 sized pickup truck that weighs around 2700 to 3100 pounds that engine with a six speed manual will be more than enough to get the job done. The late 80s S-10 pickups with the 2.8 liter V6 made 125 HP and 150 lb-ft. of torque and the standard cab with 2wd had a curb weight of 2600 pounds. They were slugs at least with a turbo charged engine and a manual tranny this new concoction should be better on fuel and a deal more spiritedly getting down the road.

I mean it’s meant to cost $8000. And in today’s market that’s what the big companies are gonna give you.

I think it will cost $3995 .

toyota is losing their ass to gm ford subaru and more as time goes on more 8k pickups appear. toyota is being left in the dust
