Thanks for the video. It's nice and informative. This is a really good looking watch. I wish it had a better power reserve. 38 hrs isn't anything special in the 20's. If the canvas strap is a beast to break in, I'd swap it out for a French military Marine Nationale NATO strap. They were designed for navy divers. These are always super comfortable, tough and they look great. I'm keeping an eye on Chrono24 listings for this watch. The low power reserve doesn't make it a priority watch purchase though. The Hamilton Khaki Navy Titanium Frogman, with its H-10 movement and 80 hr power reserve, is more my style.

I'm looking into getting this model but would swap in an Eulit black milanese. I've had the gl077 and gl0087 and agree with your points here, very thin, great crown feel, good alignment qc, accurate swiss movement what is not to like?

Hi was that new model recently? I am considering to buy but saw comments saying latest model the color is more light orange rather than brownish as before. How is the color looks like? Is it depends on the light reflection ?

PVD ist not a scratch Magnet exclamation mark in fact, it's the opposite, since black PVD is made from Titanium Aluminium Nitrite, and has a hardness of >3000 Vickers. For comparison: Sapphire crystal is 2000 Vickers hard, Steel 200 to 600 (hardened Steel). You can even test it yourself: Try to scratch it with a knife. It's impossible!

Pretty Coll owning 5 Glycine's Combat's. I own way too many amazing Invicta's with Val. 7750, Other ETA's, Ronda R150. Ne88 and NE20 by Seiko, Sileta sw200, 500 Myota 9100 aetc. I hope to own a Glycine Combat one day. Great video and thanks for sharing.

Given that you've owned 5 of these, does the bezel insert tend to scratch easily? it almost looks anodized rather than painted, which might prevent surface wear.

jay eyesacks sorry totally missed this comment. I’ve had a few with scratches on them but never done by me so I’m not certain how hard wearing they are. To me, they’re “ok”... I would really like it if they did a ceramic bezel insert

Informative review, will help me decide. Like your subjective views, too many reviewers just stick to the facts.

1. Are sapphire bezels a thing? That would be cool. 2. You have this watch for a while now. Has the band gotten any softer?

I liked the review but I have to laugh when a man uses the word “supple” when describing a tool watch lol sounds like a woman’s soap commercial lol nothing personal I’m just easily entertained!!

Stephen Beaton you think? I believe it’s definitely a love hate color way but some of the others are quite bland. Eg the black on black, the gray.
