@@saleendriver Thank you for the great videos. I also wanted to chime in, I have the GL0093 and as you mentioned in the video mine does not have drilled lugs. Also, my bezel is more of a gold tone than bronze. I'm not sure why haha

Maybe the bezels are a bit different? In the pictures the two watch's bezel inserts look to be the same. Honestly the only difference I could ever see was drilled vs. non-drilled lugs. There may be more.....I don't know.

Well, I didn't come up with the nickname. But it does fit.

Can't beat black and gold as a combo. The case shape with those very low hanging lugs looks lovely as well. Going to have to look into trying a watch from Glycine, heard a lot of good things. Great review keep it up :)

Nice Swiss made watch for the price. I got the 0093 in the last Drop and it does have drilled lugs but I think that's because these were from an older run. Otherwise, the only difference is the strap. The GL224 movement is based on the ETA 2824. And yes, it is a 60 click bezel which I prefer over a 120 click. Enjoy your Golden Eye!

The actual difference is one has a painted on glycine logo (thanks alot invicta 😞) and one has an applied logo. And the straps.

I just got a recent 0093 here in March of 2021, and it has Drilled lugs also, LOL... the mystery continues

I think these Glycine combat subs are value for money. I saw many combat subs but this particular one sir is very cool!

I agree......Glycine is making good watches for good money.

I’ve got the 0076. My only Swiss watch. Got it under special circumstances so the sentimental value kind of keeps me from wearing it. I absolutely love the watch. I pretty much just stand in my closet at the watch box and look at it anymore.

I understand sentimental value watches, believe me. But I hope you wear it once in a while. Helps to bond to the watch better.

Nice review, I have a few of these Combat Subs myself. They are just a nice overall package. At one point Jomashop had them for some very reasonable prices, as well as other Glycine models. I believe you have an older generation. The newer versions dont have drilled lugs. The ones I have do not have them. At some point Gyline changed there logo, the old logo was just the crown, the newer logo has a winged crown. Some say they changed it when Invicta bought them, personally I do not know. I believe they have gone back to there original log with just the crown.

Might be right. As I pointed out in the video, I found two models nicknamed "Golden Eye". Maybe the GL0093 is the newer one?

Also, that is the first one I've seen where the Glycine emblem was not perfectly aligned either perpendicular with the watch or Horizontal...Was it screwed in all the way?

It appeared to be to me.

I believe the 0093 is bi directional bezel and different coating.

If I buy one I will try for the drilled lug holes too. I think all but the dressiest watches should have them. How do you think it would look on black mesh?

What is the difference between the gl0093 and the gl0173?

Literally the only difference I can see and find with my research is one has drilled lugs, and one does not. Other than that, I can't find any literature or web page that says anything else is different.
