Lyrics:
And I don't know where to go
For all my life I've been so close
And I don't know where to go
For all my life I've been so close
And I don't know where to go
For all my life I've been so close
And I don't know where to go
For all my life I've been so close
And I don't know where to go
For all my life I've been so close
My love was always by my side.
And I don't know why
You don't like to be with me
In a sunny day
And I don't know why
You don't call me right now
Don't know why
You don't like to be with me
In a sunny day
My love was always by my side.
And I don't know why
You don't like to be with me
In a sunny day
And I don't know why
You don't call me right now
Don't know why
You don't like to be with me
In a sunny day
My love was always by my side.
And I don't know why
You don't like to be with me
In a sunny day
And I don't know why
You don't call me right now
Don't know why
You don't like to be with me
In a sunny day
My love was always by my side

QUIMERA
Glue Trip + Daniel Vincent
CHIMERA
Chimera is the music video of the song "Elbow Pain" by brazillian pop duo Glue Trip, created, edited and directed by designer and illustrator Daniel Vincent. The whole aesthetic concept was created by Daniel Vincent and is based on transcendent experiences surrounding our mind, it explains a bit here:
"I can say that is a now collective, cognitive. An interdimensional travel experience within all that we are.
How to see and live a life? How have the answer that none of the gods can have? We often do not know what it can really be."

In brazillian portguese, "elbow pain" is an expression that translates to being envy or jealous of something. It can also relate to the feeling of frustration or depression.

This video really spoke to an experience I had in my first year of university. 0:00 - 1:09 is a man living his life normally, neither particularly positive or negative emotions in his mind. 1:09 - 1:59 is him encountering a mind expanding substance. After this, he is seen scrutinizing the hills in the distance. This represents his contemplation, not just of life, but the nature of self, and this is where the danger starts. People who suffer this variant of derealization often experience questions like "what is the process that is doing the awareness of my thinking?", and perceive that the self is looking at itself. The key is the "it" in "itself", in which the sense of self becomes depersonalized and begins to be perceived as a mere object, rather than a person. The bird represents this unbalanced awareness that comes from contemplating just one side of these questions, relying exclusively on drugs to enhance one's intellectual reach without the grounding in meditative concentration and emotional control. He attempts to run back to normality, but loses the race, and begins falling into derealization. His body dissolving represents ego-death. He wakes up from his drug trip, and is now sober. However, he is still in the grips of derealization, and the perception of the self that he developed on the drugs is now a waking reality. The third eye represents the higher awareness that he is trapped in, and his body being the universe represents his lost sense of boundaries between self and the world. He looks in the mirror, and is baffled by his appearance. People who have derealization sometimes don't recognize their face in the mirror. His actions after this reflect a deeply terrorized man trying to escape a higher form of suffering. He pulls out the drug that started this mess. Now, the first time, the drug was rainbow before it was applied to the floor, and *then* it glowed. Now the drug is glowing before being applied. This could symbolize his past experience with the drug, and if to say, "now he knows what to expect". This attempt to re-enter the higher state of consciousness is his courageous attempt to confront the cause of his derealization, and find a way to reconcile this higher perception of reality in such a way that he can still experience, and identify with, ordinary human emotions and perceptions. His lionesque appearance represents his confidence in his certainty of self. In the end, all of the ideas he had about the nature of self, thought, and feeling all added up back to normality, and he feels empowered by having conquered such an eldritch terror. He takes a drag from a joint, confident in his ability to cruise the higher state. His dissolving represents a more peaceful and enjoyable dissolution of the ego. The lionesque appearence being a sign of confidence was actually an interpretation offered by a friend, and it started me on the rest of the paragraph,. My original idea was much darker; that he regressed into a more pleasure/pain driven state as a way to escape from his higher consciousness. Alas, that's what ended up happening to me, and while the higher form of suffering no longer troubles me, sometimes I feel like my whole life is a dream that I'm trying to wake up from. >.>

thats crazy. the first time i tripped acid was in a dorm room my freshman year in college. my dorm mate had just dropped out and he was prescribed barbiturates to which he fed my addiction. I remember when it hit me. I was so scared and lonely at this realization that I had extreme withdrawal symptoms. I had the world at my fingertips but I all wanted was a little pill. It was a couple weeks spent only in my dorm room before half a tab made me realize that I was in deep doo doo. I ended up dropping out, but continued to use lsd and now im about to get my associates and i can tell you drugs done in moderation in good settings can be life changing. dont do drugs. use psychadelics

I also happened upon this musical masterPEACE while under the influence of some fire ass needlepoint. Crazy how a song can have such a lasting effect on us. If this song touched you like it did me, then you remember exactly where you were the first time hearing it. They were happier times for me and hearing this song kinda takes me back there and I get that feeling again each time. Much much love to you all.

I don't think it's that complex, you see, Glue Trip is a Brazilian band and elbow pain is a Brazilian expression that means someone is still hurt by the end of a relationship, so what I think is that the song means the protagonist is now lost in life, living without meaning because his love is now gone, and he can't deal with the fact that she doesn't want to be with him anymore, and so he wonders why

I'm kinda late here but.. My interpretation was slight different from yours ( i'm sorry for the bad english :P) I think the song is about a guy that got into a relationship. You can see a glince of his life before the relationship.. he was all white but the universe around me was full of colors and shapes, that i think relates to him being a little " anti- social " and had alot of insecurities, besides , he was closed in esphere space ship (earth shape ) . after that , he discovered an object wich filled him with color.. that in a weird way transforms him -love - all he sees around him is beautiful and filled with colors, including him , making him " fulfilled", until the eagle showed up ( the break up , "getting over it " ) he got himself in a room completely white, bland .. You can tell by the colors of the body he's still in love with the feeling of love .. however everything changed around him .. The ending is him.. completely different from the one he was before .. filled with colors just like the surroundings . He has know discovered a new self..

2:40 of the video just gave me goosebumps. I remember my first high dose of magic mushrooms, that feeling when the drug is coming down, and youre conciousness coming back and youre remembering who you are and what you are, the video was really accurate and when youre tripping like when youre in the peak of it, its like you are one with everything because you can literally feel everything vibrates in youre skin and in youre thoughts all you can think about is LOVE and its like something or someone is sending a message or a thought in to youre head that the answer or the SOLUTION to everything is LOVE. It is just so fucking weird and really an interesting experience.

I remember tripping with my ex and she showed me this song and video during it. I was heavily depressed at the time, just wasn't really that aware of it and I was plagued with anxiety. I broke down in tears during this part. It's a very powerful song and video, I'm glad I got to experience it with someone I loved, even if these experiences weren't enough to keep us together. I'm in a much better place now, it took me a long time and lots of effort to be where I am now and look back at those times without rose-tinted glasses. There was a lot of bad mixed in with the good. Stay healthy everyone and take care of yourselves. You're worthy of love and the most important love a person can receive is from themselves. If you don't know how, do some guided metta meditation and start from there. It is a skill like any other. Went off on a bit of a tangent there but you are definitely right Oo Deen. I remember my first time on acid, when I went outside for a walk on a sunny day. I remember being full of love and awe looking at my environments and also being baffled how feeling this was illegal and looked down upon. It still makes no sense to me but I still embrace the love.

I kinda figured out that love was the answer before trying anything, and I've never had any bad trips so far. I have definitely experienced anxiety and derealization where I don't even know if I am a person and I definitely felt that part where he was just looking at the thing looking back at him in the mirror, but due to idk my positivity or something I come back and just get the positive ideas from it all. Everyone feels weird, and that's kinda the point of life. We are all just weird flesh monsters in the shape of people, but learning and experiencing is what makes us human, and really nothing will change that. Love really is just the icing on the cake in that case, as all it does is help other people feel better, and when there is enough positivity and acceptance, it naturally spreads back to you.

You guys dont know how important is this song for me. I was listening to that song my first time smoking cannabis, with my best friend and we were looking at the video and listening to the melody for like 30 minutes. Now every time that we meet and smoke we listen to that song and remember good times. I love this song and I will never forget how important is this song for me. Peace and love✌.

This was a sound track to a drug fueled psychedelic soul searching adventure I went on with a new best friend who turned out to be my actual twin flame best friend. Got sober from hard drugs and found a town and got a few dogs and a job and now just looking back on everything this song really was the background for a lot of really pretty sunsets from the front seat of my Buick❤

I've never done acid, only smoked weed and such. But many of my friends and family have, I've no idea how it feels because you cant grasp it through a story. This song makes me think of what acid would be like, regardless of the music video. Its beautiful in so many ways and this was my first time with headphones whilst high and I've got to say, its nice
