these guys had the stages planned, and improvised the rest. it's no coincidence when masego hits the drum set or when fkj takes his keys solo, but within the stages it's improv. right off the bat fkj checks that the bass line works...if i had to bet, the guitar, bass, and sax melodies, along with the vocals, were set prior. don't wanna ruin the magic here, just explaining this musically. y'all need to check out some jazz fusion like Weather Report or Pieces of a Dream. I remember the first time I saw/ heard this in 2016. My jaw was dropped the entire time. There were only a few thousand views and I counted myself so fortunate to be among the few souls to experience this jam session. Now this video is at almost half a billion views and both artists are legends in the making in their own right. Amazing!!!
