Glucose Goddess on writing GLUCOSE REVOLUTION | Jessie Inchauspé & Andres Preschel

"Do you know what the last thing you ate did to your body and mind?"
That's where my new book starts.
We often decide what to eat based on what we think, read, or hear rather than what our bodies truly need. That's because it's not so easy for us to understand our bodies and their needs. The good news is that optimizing our food choices can significantly improve our physical and mental well-being. And that's what "Glucose Revolution" is about.
In this interview, Andrés Preschel and I talk about how blood sugar or glucose affects all systems in our body, how I decided to write a book, the creative process behind it, and a little of my personal story.

    23 years ago I was introduced to good combining and while it certainly helped it was also not enjoyable or as easy as what Jessie suggests with food sequencing. And I have to say, it feels so much different after just a few meals. We've done this for a few weeks now and the positive changes have been surprising and wonderful.

    as I watch this video what I contemplate is how much physical weight I have to release: (75.2 Lbs to be precisely exact!) for the sake of my health and for my well-being. (I have diabetes. I need to reverse it. I'm open to hearing tips/advice/hacks/info.) the thing is though... I realize that I desperately also hold on to all the excess weight: for safety and for comfort. dear God, please please please, help the weight dissolve off of me, and please help me to no longer have the need to hold on to any of it, for the illusion of safety and protection. I am ready to be permanently, forever released from these shackles...

    Radical Honesty, Your comment made me tear up and by the time I read the last 2 lines, tears were flowing down my cheeks😭 I felt your pain and sadness with each line! I pray that God will help you on your journey to getting healthier 🙏 To lose weight, you'd have to drink lots of plain water, eat enough salads and vegetables to satisfy you. You can make salads with cucumbers, lettuce, spinach, curly parsley, bellpeppers, radish, olives, tomatoes and carrots etc. You can steamed vegetables such as: broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, and carrots etc, then add some butter; it won't make you put on weight so don't be afraid to add some to your steamed vegetables, but at the same time don't overdo it; everything in moderation! Have your salads and steamed vegetables with eggs, fish or meat. Another thing, don't forget to do some forn of exercise; it's the best thing after eating healthily. Walking outdoors is the best but if that's not an option use a treadmill in your home or wherever. Don’t lose hope or give up! I wish you the best and God bless 🙏

    Please someone let me know if this book is about informing American Gen Z on a healthier way to eat ? Because in Europe (mediterranean diet) this is the normal way we have been eating for generations!! I am genuinely interested to know what is NEW about her finding, i am not trying to be snobby, just want to add some positive change in my way of eating!

  • @mel818

    @mel818

    Jessie has said herself the mediterranean diet is a good example of healthy eating, yet there's always tons of european people commenting on her instagram posts saying they do not eat like that. This isn't about "informing americans", it's about informing anyone who cares to listen and who needs it. She always says "If you're feeling great and what and how you eat works for you then i have nothing to teach you!". Also please remember there's other people in the world aside from americans and europeans.

    It does teach some common sense but long lost ways of eating and living which do help tremendously with metabolic issues and overall health. All generations will benefit from that

    Intrigued with you Jessie! Well Done for overcoming so much by yourself! I had an accident 9 years ago And I kinda feel alone as this injury is not very common! It's been a hell of a journey I tell you. I'm not sure I can fix myself with diet / musician but Drs sent me home and permanent injury is quite something you got to wrap your head around! I do believe that certain foods could help me with feeling better somewhat. I have always been quite mesmorizes by eating correctly.. so who knows maybe I can help myself with nutricition and eating correctly🤹‍♂️
