It’s amazing! We were both intimidated, but literally had it going in 15 minutes. And the community of people is so awesome. They like to help each other. It’s a great investment ❤️

I’ve watched a lot of videos and I have a lot of experience using an Epilog laser. But it’s at a maker space. So I get frustrated because I have to wait for time available at the space to use it. I really want my own. Although I know the Glowforge is not as powerful as what I’m used to… I’m really considered getting one of these. This was. Great video.

It is EXTREMELY important to vent the smoke from the laser out of the working area. Certain materials such as acrylic (plexiglass), polycarbonate (Ge / Sabic Lexan), and 3M pressure sensitive adhesives emit toxic fumes when laser cut. Breathing any smoke isn't a good idea.

Correct. We are currently both using the Glowforge air filter which is awesome but a little loud. We are planning to set ours to vent out a window to help with sound and cost!

Hey ladies! Watch all you vids, ty for sharing your plans, have made numerous pieces. Adapted your narrow workbench into a mobile kitchen island on which I'd like to add a section for paper towels, parchment, foil, etc. Pipes work out to be pretty pricey so I was wondering if you had any ideas? Was thinking of a metal curtain rod with hacksaw blades on the long side for foil, parchment, and wax paper, and then put the paper towels and cling wrap with hacksaw blades on the shorter sides but unsure how to mount these two larger rolls on a budget. Any ideas welcome😘

Fun idea! Have you looked at wood closet pole? They also sell stainless. Not sure how much it will help with cost but maybe another option for you. Send pics when you get it done!

Hey! It’s a separate purchase, but I have decided to vent mine out a window and not use the filter! That’s a great option and will save money!
