So i have 6 zvx 12s on 2 taramp smart 8ks. Which battery set up do you recommend. Also have 280 amp alternator

Hmmm. Have you clamped it? Smart 8 on music generally pull around 350 amps max according to their spec sheet. Two of them would be 700a peak. Assuming 60a of alt power going to your car’s electronics, you’d have 220 amps from alternator. The s2 (can see in the last 30 seconds of this video) can burst at nearly 550, so it would be pretty close with a single S2. I’d recommend a pair that way when your alt isn’t putting out full amperage (stoplights, or car parked) you’d still be covered and not need to worry about voltage dropping too low. With a pair of S2 - you’d actually be able ti go full tilt even with the car off and not fall below 12v. 💯

Alright, I'm going to be running a DD M5 again and have a 250 Amp JS alt, would a single GV S2 be adequate?

You in okc? We are based in Mustang. Folks that own DD funded the startup of our first company (Glowe LEDs) as a SoundQubed product. A series 2 should be more than enough - running @ 1 ohm? We could throw one in your ride and test it if you want.

I have a js 370 ho alt with the big 4 and stock battery, with a xs power d975 in the rear. Could I just swap xs battery with this without any issues?

Whats the difference between the series 2 and 3? They are priced the same. Also, i just have a normal lead acid battery not agm. Stock electrical with big 3 on my 2009 escalade. What battery would you recommend?

The series 2 has more capacity, the series 3 can put out even more power. If you’re keeping stock charging, go with a series 3. If you use code, “5off” can get a b stock (cosmetic issue) Series 3 for under $400 right now. 💯

I have taramps smart 5 200 amp stock alt. The amp cuts off at 1 ohm when my voltage nears 11.0 mark. Would this battery and big 3 on my stock alt be enough to run my smart 5 @1 you think? Im torn between this one and a couple titan 8s. Thank you

About to do a system in my new car, will this battery really support over 10k watts on stock alt? Im only going to be running 5krms max and im just so shocked, im used to agm but like how long could i really play at say 5k rms before i have to let it charge? And how long would it take? Im super interested in buying one within the week

Series 3 sounds like it may be a better option, but yes this would still have you covered.

I was charging my v2 and noticed a little white ooze from the top corner opposite the negative battery terminal. Is that normal? Anything to worry about. ?

This direct replacement for under hood? Do i need add on or plug n play? I heard the titan 8 fits right in. Looking to replace primary. Have f150 big 3, stock alt 200 or 240 amp , smart 3k and sundown 10004 amps. Give me all the information im new to mixing batteries and audio

It's not recommended for under hood use. These are LifePo4, so even though there is not a risk of thermal runaway / spontaneous fires, the increased heat under an engine bay will likely result in the battery failing after only 5-6 years. Installed inside the vehicle/in the trunk you're likely to see over a decade from these. That goes for any LifePo4 batteries, not just ours. You can absolutely run them in conjuction with lead acid (including AGM) batteries in parallel with no isolator, though. That's not a problem at all given you drive the vehicle at least once a month.

Is a 320amp alternator safe for these cells

@@YikesInTheChat you will need a lifepo4 charger - we can’t legally ship the batteries charged and it’s highly recommended to charge them up before installing. Can get one on Amazon, or we also offer those on the website for $25/$30 depending which one you get.

​@@GloweIndustries nice, I have a 370 alt and xs agm 100ah underhood battery. Which Glowe voltage series battery would work the best you think ran parallel with my agm and a 8k or 10k amp?

I will add that the retro30 is $200 more than the GV2. Do you know what cells are in the retro? I had several of the original limitless batts and both have exploded and caused major damage like total loss of a vehicle type damage and of course nobody cared. Cells were in my explorer normal summer day, hear a loud boom come outside explorer is up in flames battery case is blown apart.

Limitless is junk. The MF owner hasn't had to be held accountable for the really unsafe shit he's sold. You seen him at a show an break his face I'll keep the security busy 😂😂 hope you hit his company with a civil suit or some kind of lawsuit for that!

Wow, really??? Cyber series? Retro? Gorilla? I’m still shocked they tell people to install them under the hood. We do have folks who install them under the hood, nothing we can do to stop them - but we certainly do not recommend it.

@GloweIndustries yes really. The original 45ah battery with 2 pos and 2 neg post I got the buss bars with then. They said there wasn't proof the battery failed however the fire investigation and fire chief both stated on site and in the report that the fire was due to a faulty secondary battery. The fire ignited and burn so hot and so fast the entire interior was gone in minutes. I still have the Taramps Bass 8k where the case is charred and discolored from the incident. Second time around was the 15ah variant which blew up sitting in a climate controlled garage. The explosion ignited a trailer which was also a total loss. I have pics and obviously the total loss paperwork to prove. Sadly I still own 2 of the 15ah limitless and over 200ah worth of headway if anyone is interested to buy 🤑

Just take my money why don’t you Seth lol I’m redoing the charger at the moment, upgrading all the series 3 lights and tossing 7000 rms in the car so this one battery should do just fine replacing the stock and running a smart5 and ds2000
