So which battery do you think is best for a truck charging at 14.6 to 14.8 voltage "can be higher with adjustable voltage regulator" and a sundown salt 8 oh yeah and a 400amp alternator??

Are you keeping oem battery? If so probably a single Series 3. ( check out our channel for more info ) If replacing oem battery and running only a single Glowe? S2.

@@GloweIndustries at the moment I have headways running the whole truck because The front battery died on me so I've just been running it off the headway bank. But yes I can get a new front battery if needed. But I do kind of like not having to run a battery isolator.. But obviously looking to get the most out of my setup.

Problem is that with an active balancer... you will actually put your cells OUT of balance since it is on all the time. It should ONLY balance when the cell are over 3.4-3.45volts. You need to put in a 'smart' version so you only balance at higher voltages (configurable).

A BMS that would allow the amount of amperage needed for car audio use would be like an added $100+ in cost atleast. For a good reliable one

I didn't know a BMS wasn't needed for this type of battery. I was told it was necessary so the battery could be charged & discharges safely. Is this just for solar panel use when equipped with BNS?

@@G.I.Joe- mostly an RV. But they also help ppl from doing damage to batteries they aren't rated to for a high C rating. Let's say the cells in series aren't supposed to be discharged over 200a continuous. That's when a BMS becomes mandatory. Especially for those companies who sell them an label them as such. If it's gets damaged by your doing then safety becomes a factor an your displeased view when the battery messes up however an you try to return it. Helps an protects everyone. Helps also from over charge of course. But considering most car audio ppl either charge their stuff with a preset charger they can't control. Or if they do use a variable power supply.
