I like the way you talk to them, don't give them a chance, and make them feel rubbish, good on you yardley, they are rotten bacon through and through !

Officers this is for you. The point is to see if you’re acting professionally because that’s what we want. Not hating on police But you can’t quite get the balance right can you? It’s ignore or harass. Why not just smile greet and move on. The greeting shouldn’t be “ What are you doing here move on” The guy on the bike was cool. A breath of fresh air. Observe learn the reaction he got 👏. The level of entitlement of some to be just rude is dreadful. Show some respect you have no idea if this person has bad intent or not. So be professional. Not buddy not mate but Sir. Follow your own codes of conduct but oh boy don’t you hate it when you are called out on it.? Mr “nice cop” you got all bent out of shape at the end because you retreated defeated you violated rights. You have everything topsy turvey. The auditor was the one acting legally and you were the ones breaking GDPR (illegal) and your own codes of conduct . 🤷‍♀

The attitude of the East European officers was alarming too say the least, maybe the Country they are from the police speak to the public in that way. Bringing that sort of attitude with them and trying too apply it here will not be tolerated, a great audit highlighting the distain of police officers towards the public.🇬🇧

Funny thing, all the officers who abused the Terrorism Act to detain or arrest auditors had 🇬🇧 accents. Are they the role models you'd like Easter European officers to follow?

They so desperately want to ‘control’ people, you handled them extremely well. They know they are breaching policy but are incapable of just giving an honest answer to a simple question. The default is always to lie and cover up. How can they expect any level of respect from the public who pay their salaries. They earn disrespect at every opportunity.

This is a powerful audit. The disconnect is real as you say. Most of the police sadly have complete contempt for the public and see us as the enemy.

Sad when people obviously still struggling with English pronunciation can become Police where surely the most important thing is communication

I used to watch patriots and pirate hunters a decade ago, then started again with thus UK lot. It exposes abusers like not much else. They should ignore them, but can't turn down the option of dominance and aggression. Only evil is done in secret.

Hi Yardley, the first thing I noticed with this station was that the cars entering were going straight through and leaving the gateway open for sometime while gates slowly close themselves, very easy for unwelcome invaders to follow. The first two that came out did respond fairly well and leave when you told them you did not want to talk, apart from the fact that they did not actually approach you in the proper polite and considerate manner that I would expect when meeting people for the first time. The third one at ten minutes was friendly enough, stood well away and did not hang around. Two minutes later Karen seems to think that demanding to know what you are doing like that was not rude!, then all she can do is argue. The way you speak to her is not very nice but then she deserves no better, you are obviously not there to meet them and talk to them. That bit at fifteen minutes where the driver reverses out into the street is bad enough, to do so into a street that is full of parked police vehicles is beyond all excuse. The middle bit when they come out to talk to you goes well!, surely the police should know that it is the duty of drivers to avoid pedestrians, then the argument about the body worn cameras results in him having to accept that he was in the wrong, then when they realise they cannot apply the 'normal' tyranny and start to walk away they still come back to try to insist they were not wrong, end up doing what they should have done to start with. I am a bit confused now because I would usually say that such an abrasive manner as your is unlikely to get a good result but in this one you prove me wrong, very good work! The one at twenty four minutes was indeed a very good example, sadly the next one seemed to be more interested in picking his nose, then the next two start off badly, asking someone a question like that in that sort of tone smacks of tyranny simple as, he then does that bit of patronising cop-waffle about her identity and is rightly corrected. This one is the gift that keeps on giving, each and almost every one getting off to a bad start and getting dismissed, they all seem to think that you have to be nice to them!, do you think they might need counselling to pacify their feelings of rejection and hurt or maybe they should learn to behave better. All except that good one of course, perhaps he could train the others. The one on the motorbike was top dollar, apart from the fact that these electric vehicles are very very far from Zero Carbon!, just the manufacture of the batteries alone require tens of thousands of miles just to break even, but it is the thought that counts!. Altogether one of the best Audits I have seen thank you. Cheers, Richard.

What I like the most, is you stopping them from calling you MATE. These officers should be respectful and call you sir, like good little officers.

I like how you are "mirroring." If someone is abrupt to you, then you are abrupt to them. I am sure if an Officer came up to you and introduced himself or herself in a polite manner, you would respond in a nice way.

The word has clearly gone round that using S43 because someone is legally filming a bacon factory is not a good look for plods. Now we generally get a few questions followed by minutes of seething resentment before the inevitable walk of shame.

Have to say Yardley you are probably one of the best around. You and AB respect 👍🏻👍🏻

Yardley Ski videos are inspiring. Apart from the auditing aspect, they help me to learn about being assertive. I often wonder why I watch so many auditors at work and what is the fascination. This video has helped me to consider whether they help me to understand my deep mistrust of the police and how personally upsetting that is. Having been brought up to believe in the law, doing the right thing and treating people respectfully, I am beginning to realise how chronically distressed I have become over the years (57) as I have begun to recognise how separated I have become from the widely accepted paradigm wrt policing. These videos, and Yardley Ski in particular, help me work through these psychoses so thanks.

Here we go with the, "I'm just having a 'chat' with you" bollocks again. Police 'interrogate', never 'chat'. They don't know the difference. When they get home, they 'interrogate' their family and friends. "Hi Honey, I'm home. What have you been up to today? But I must tell you, you do not have to say anything. But, it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned, something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence. Been busy? How's your Mum?".

Great video, No wonder the Met have been placed into special measures!!!!! She needs to remember that they have just sacked and jailed some met officers for taking photos of a crime scene they were guarding, and putting them out on a WhatsApp group. I bet the other inmates in the Scrubs make the jailed ex officers feel very welcome. Where are the standards of professionalism in the police service, interactions like this just show us all how warped and out of touch the police are, they really do think we should tremble when they speak and obey all their commands. We are not yet a police state, shame on them for this demonstration of such poor standards. Keep auditing Yardley.
