Hoping to get some song playthroughs done on the main channel too!!

Seeing the Sax solo live in Chicago was GLORIOUS, and yes, they do the sax solo live

The raw power of the sax solo consuming all of your cosmic bandwidth was so on brand with the theme I can barely comprehend it

The titles are getting longer and longer each album and im here for it , last song of the album has 11 words in it, in no time we will have entire short stories in the titles

You should see the live. Chris just randomly pops on stage to do the sax solo then runs off. It's awesome. Edit: not sure when the video was recordede, but the new album just came out. This single was released literally a day before the album.

Your reaction to the sax solo made me laugh, it threw me too! you gotta love Gloryhammer for its ridiculous fun!

The first song with Sozos was Fly away and Im sure chris said that the recordings used for sozos vocals were just recorded from home without any professional studio recording, you can really tell when you compare fly away to this album!

Chris (Gloryhammer owner/ex-Zargothrax) posted the official Gloryhammer story/timeline on the Gloryhammer subreddit yesterday. Worth a look if you actually have an interest in the story lol

I got to see this live before they dropped it, it was awesome

The lore of Gloryhammer is actually really fun (Warning: Spoilers for the story of the current Album in the last Paragraph) The first Album starts with Anstructors dark prophecy, that one day an evil Wizard will destroy the Kingdom of Fife. That evil wizard is Zargothrax, who started as a simple basket weaver and turns evil after the first king of Fife destroyed his home when building the Capital City Dundee. He than, a few years later, invades Dundee with an army of magical undead unicorns, which he created using the legendary knife of evil, which turns everyone, who gets cut with it, evil and kidnaps the Princess. Prince Angus McFife the first than sets out on a quest to collect the amulet of Justice, the Hammer of glory and a magical dragon. With those items he defeats Zargothrax and freezes him in a pool of liquid Ice. End of Album 1. We than have a time skip to the year 1992, where the Kingdom of Fife has turned into the intergalactic empire of fife, witz Zargothrax still frozen within the Fortress of the Space knights of crail, but than gets sets free and collects an old artifact to power a dwarven portal below the citadel of dundee, which would free the eldrich god Kor-Viliath of the 18th hell Dimension, which would essentially make him a god and destroy the universe. Prince Angus McFife the 13th than sets out to defeat Zargothrax once more with the remainder of the space knights of crail and the hootsman, an old cyborg barbarian, but they are to late. Zargothrax opens the portal and the only way to save the universe is for the hootsman to blow up his neutron star powered heart and nuke the entire planet earth. This is enough to rip a hole through time and space, through which Zargothrax escapes into another reality, to where Angus follows him. Here starts album 3. Zargothrax arrived years prior to angus and is now ruler of this universe with his death knights of crail, who got corrupted by the knive of evil. Angus joins forces with the resistance and after reactivating the power of his hammer, fights Zargothrax and finally defeats him for good, but gets stabbed by the knive and so decides to throw himself into a vulcano to not turn evil himself. When Zargothrax died, it activated a magical, transdimensional transmitter with whi this album ends Kinda Lore but kinda not, i guess: The Band confirmed after nanowar of steels "Valhalleluja" that Angus the XIIIth was reborn as Angus McOdin, the one and only Master of Ikea. But the Singer started his own Thing as well, kinda implying that he turned into Angus McSix Spoiler for album 4: The Transmission gets send through time and space back to the year 1022 where it activates a clone of Zargothrax, which he planted years prior, who uses a nuke, that got send back in time from the year 1961 to nuke Dundee, killing everyone, except Prince Angus the 2nd, who got teleported away by a group of wizards to a Fortress in outer space, where he trains for 20 years before returning to earth. He than teams up with the hootsman, who survived due to his magic armor and now leads the wasteland warrior hoots patrol and the wizard ralathor to defeat Zargothrax clone once and for all. They learn about a powerful artifact, that coule destroy Zargothrax, the Vorpal laser Blaster of Pitterween, which they search in the old dwarven ruins. During this search ralathor slips away through a crack in space-time to assist Angus 1st in his fight agains OG Zargothrax and Angus finds out that Zargothrax Clone already got the Blaster and sets out to free OG Zargothrax from his tomb in the Fortress of crail. There they meet for an epic final battle and as all three artifacts, Knive of evil, Blaster and Hammer of glory, collide, rips a voice from the heavens. The Starlords of eternity, pretty much multiversal gods, appear and tell them that dabbling with all three artifacts is big bad, that there is a billions of years old prophecy, with which they are interfering and that the Starlords will know annihilate this weird twisted timeline. The only survivor of that is Angus the 2nd, who gets taken with the starlords to fulfill his destiny beyong the universe. End of Album 4

well, I saw Angus McFife II enter the Konami Code onto a NES controller. man, I love Gloryhammer

The first song with the new singer I actually liked!

The sax solo is acually a collab with another musician, lol it still looks sick.

Everyone's a badass until the Hootsman whips out the sax.

I mean if you ignore the "Sidequests" of every album the story isn't really "too" complicated. It's still complicated and of course it's nonsensical. There's four heroes, *Angus McFife* (singer, Thomas first, now Sozos) *The Hootsman* (James, the bass player), *Ser Proletius* (Paul, guitar player) and *Ralathor* (Ben, drummer) and the one overarching villain *Zargothrax* (Chris first, then Michael, keyboards). The heroes fight to protect the *Kingdom of Fife* in the land of *Dundee* , which is a fictional version of actual place in Scotland. Zargothrax always tries to destroy it. The events of the first album take place in the ancient times and Zargothrax invades Dundee with an army of undead unicorns and kidnaps the princess, love of the young Prince of Fife, Angus McFife, so he fights to protect the land and get the princess back with his allies. He succeeds and Zargothrax is frozen in Ice. Then in the second album a 1000 years passed and somehow now Dundee is in space. And so there's space technology and a cult of evil wizards that frees Zargothrax from the ice. So he tries to enact revenge and revive another evil dark lord. The descendent of Angus, *Angus McFife XIII* and his allies, who are either new versions of the originals or just plain immortal (like the Hootsman, who's actually a cyborg), manage to stop him but Earth is destroyed and a space portal to another dimension opens and Zargothrax escapes through it, followed by Angus XIII. So for the third album we're in alternative dimension which is somehow a mixed of ancient and current times, where Zargothrax managed to takeover the entire land and became the ruler, so Angus XIII has to find allies as some of his old ones, like Ser Proletius, in this dimension are allies of Zargothrax instead. He can still count on The Hootsman who has become a demi-god, and Ralathor. They manage to kill Zargothrax but Angus is stabbed my a knife that would corrupt him and make him evil, so he throws himself in a vulcano and dies. Album Four, this one, it's revealed Zargothrax had cloned himself and this clone has the ability to travel through time, so he goes back all the way to the ancient times after the first album and changes history by destroying the Kingdom of Fife and killing the original Angus, now King Angus I on Earth with a nuclear bomb from the future. So now his son, *Prince Angus McFife II* vows revenge on Zargothrax, with the help of the old allies of his father. Also, the heroes all along are powered/sustained/inspired by this mystical force known as *Hoots* . You never really figure out what it actually is or means. This is the most short and simple you can make it. It's still long, absurd, often inconsistent and cheesy as hell. But it's fun.

the terrorvortex is not ancient and current, and the clone does not travel time. the terrorvortex being a parallel dimension, the story actually takes place around the same year as album 1 (992-993) the "long ago in the distant future" references the fact that album 2 is in the technical future, but the past of angus's timeline. the hootsman was sent back to the start of the universe creating the hootsforce. zargothrax went back before the founding of dundee which is how he conquers it, and then angus shows up. zargothrax dying in the terrorvortex activates the clone in the main universe, but it does it in 1022 because they're in the past. this creates a time paradox. which is why album 4 universe is dubbed "38B"

Hell yes, Gloryhammer is back in full force and dare I say better than ever! He is the mighty Hootsman, battle-sax is in his hand! 🎷 P.S, are you planning to do an album playthrough of their new album like with Galactic Terrorvortex?

No reaction to the Konami code? :P In all seriousness though, this was the best song on the album. And not only that, but it made me like the other single they did that I wasn't sure about because the instrumentals fit so well between the two.

Keeper of the Celestial Flame of Abernethy is also a banger, and the animated music video is amazing, relaying both Zargothrax origin story and the story of Gloryhammer so far in all it’s surreal awesomeness.
