Every other combat sports organization should take note of what GLORY is doing, uploading their fights to KZread for free. They should have a rematch in Canada with Joseph Valtellini, and Gabriel Varga on the card. That would be a killer card

***** Unfortunately professional Kickboxing is illegal in Canada so GLORY can't hold an event here :( It makes no sense given that MMA is legal and there is kickboxing used in MMA lol. Really sad considering we have some of the best in the world here

Regardless of who really won the fight, one thing is for sure. Marcus came to fight and Artem didn't. If you want to call Artem's constant holding and clinching as strategy, fine, go ahead. But I saw one person aggressively trying to fight and another person trying to avoid a fight.

***** This isn't muay thai, it's GLORY rules. Sure you can blame Marcus but Levin was not active clinching. If Levin was initiating the clinch and actually attempting to strike, your point would be valid, but he was holding on for dear life

Justin Cheng Justin under Glory rules one must only initiate a clinch if it's for the sole purpose of following it up with a knee under 1 second. Fighters who do this in and out of Glory are rare- it almost never happens- in other words under Glory rules clinching is not allowed. The announcers should have made that clear but did not. The 5 second rule to hold a clinch only comes into effect after the first knee is delt in under a second of starting the clinch. Now with this in mind if you look at the fight Levin broke the rules EVERY round- and even despite the -1 to him lost the fight because Simon won round 1 and 2 fair and square and was robbed of the title in this fight

Im just stating the rules- i read it from the official site- they want a fast clinch-to-knee to initiate the legal clinch then to keep it legal have to follow it up with more knees within 5 seconds- its a commonly misunderstood rule by announcers, fighters, and the ref...it makes for messy fights like this one...Muay Thai rules are more liberating (free) but this is kickboxing....I believe Marcus won this fight fair and square under the rules and was robbed of the title.

its true they do not say under 1 second- that is how i interpreted the word immediately. Surely they could rewrite the rules and be less vague. I don't know when that will happen if ever.

Yea no. That’s just an excuse for judges not doing they’re job, it’s ridiculous. There’s a reason elite fighters don’t finish each other that fast because they’re elite, it’s more likely they go to decision then anything.

Marcus won 4 rounds to 1 with the point deduction its no way for 47-47 1 round Levin 10-9 2 round Marcus 10-9 3 round marcus 10-8 (poin deduction ) 4 round marcus 10-9 5round Marcus 10-9 49-45 bad decision would be 48-46 If you give Levin 2 round but to get 47-47 you have to give Levin or 3 that he couldn't win because of point deduction or 4 or 5 that he clearly lost knee from clinch its not part of kickboxing and when you hug to avoid exchange its looks bad and doesn't give you any points.

I'm not a fan of Marcus, but he won that easily wth!

These fights are so hard to call. Marcus clearly has a better clinch game, yet Levin effectively uses a different kind of clinch as part of his boxing. Makes for a very weird fight, but still very entertaining. This can only mean one thing: a rematch.

Pretty much boring,one guy trying to fight the other isn't yawn.

I'm a fan of both but, Marcus clearly won. Levin fought sloppy and was holding too much. Plus he had a point deducted. Marcus had the more significant strikes and higher connection percentage. Marcus was robbed.

I saw it as a draw, i gave Artem the first and fifth (though it was close) round for sure, marcus the second and fourth and even for the third, imo at least

Artem Levin won that fight. I don't understand which fight Steven Quadros saw. Simon was hit with multiple jabs, left hooks when he was on he's way in. Levin hit Marcus with a lot of knees on the inside. Levin wisely clinched Simon on the inside because that is usually what Simon does. So Lewin did it first and outscored Simon on the inside.

OronoThai I trained with Simon Marcus and have had him in my corner. 3 things: 1:He's black. Black people are genetically more inclined to be of muscular build. It's a simple evolutionary fact 2:He eats 0 junk food and is on a very hardcore diet. 3:He trains like a fucking beast. You have to see it to believe it. I did not listen to the commentators and have my opinion swayed by them. I watched the fight with my own two EYES and have been watching fights since I was 13 years old- have seen thousands of matches by now- and I saw Marcus, Simon win round 1, 2, and 3 was the only one that came close to a draw but with one point taken away puts it enough in Marcus' favor for him to take that round too! Marcus won unanimously in my book! Fuck the commentators, judges, and anyone who saw Levin win because he did not! If the fight is scored correctly Marcus clearly won the first 3 rounds!

+Chris Dealny throws will slow down the pace of the fight and people probably won't like it. I remember 10 or 20 yrs ago Cung Le and Scott Sheeley had a sanda fight broadcasted on US basic cable. They were scoring some beautiful throws on each other but the commentators would just complain those just slow down the fight and were boring as hell. I guess most of the people in the west just doesn't have the heart to appreciate throws in a stand up fight.

This was a literal clinch fest by the champion. If he wants to hug, go to his wife or gf not in a glory title fight. Btw I think Simon won. He was the better kickboxer while Levin hugged even better.
