The mass settings got changed for the sake of more literal translations from Latin to English, but I do have to say that the drawbacks are that the more modern translations sometimes affect the meaning. For example, “seen and unseen” from the Nicene Creed got switched to “visible and invisible.” If a visible thing is unseen, it’s just hidden from the eyes.

Great Job, this was my favorite. Then they removed the music for the Congregation from BB,and placed only the first line. Much more difficult for the Congregation to follow.

The text is a straight red through of the 2010 Gloria, with the use of the first line as a refrain. Congregation can read from three prayer text or the chant Gloria that OCP publishes in their missals

This is the best rendition of this that I have EVER heard. Most of the time it sounds bad and cloying, but you've managed to really elevate the piece here. I've NEVER heard this performed so well in mass.

no one is allowed to change any word of the Mass, not even a priest, certainly not a musician, certainly not a lutheran.

Absolute ludicrous to change the texts in the first place. I dont and will not. Even our priest does not..... the pure nonsense of the word 'consubstantiation' is laughable. One of Benedict's bad ideas.

Who is your priest and bishop? By refusing to submit to the authority of the magisterium, your priest is potentially leading you and others astray. This is very serious and corrective action needs to be taken immediately. The new translation of the Roman Missal is more accurate to the original Latin text. It's a net benefit to the Church that we stay as close to the text as possible.
