Me regalo ella el cassette en 1987 y me dijo "te lo doy por esta canción", cuando yo decidi terminar el noviazgo por inmadurez y malos entendidos, 34 años despues nos reconectamos por correo y me dijo te lo di por que "tu fuiste el amor de mi vida", reimos de nuevo, lloramos y nos pedimos perdon sin rencor muchas veces, todo iba bien, enfermo y en meses partio con el Creador, cada vez que oigo a Gloria su memoria cobra vida dulcemente, un regalo del cielo MT.

This song is deep for me because it came out when I was 16 years old after my first breakup with my first real girlfriend. I messed up, like so many kids do in relationships.......she let me go. I was sitting at home in Miami, and she called and told me it was over. I couldn't change her mind. Later that same night this somg came on. I heard it previously on many occasions.....but that night it took on a new meaning that reached deep into my soul! Now almost 35 years later this song is still so very touching to my heart!😘😍🥰

this song used to play alot in a super fancy restaurant I used to work at back when the song came out. Sometimes it would rain and it looked beautiful in the dining room because a glass window wrapped halfway across the room and ceiling and the room was full of mostly couples having a candle light dinner. I also remember the manager locking up at night as we all walked away in the moonlight as the song came on. so so long ago..

Even though I can't understand a word, her ballads sound better in Spanish! Much more passion!!

Loved the song hugely when I knew it only as "Anything for you", but when a couple of weeks later the album "Exitos de Gloria Estefan" came out and I heard this Spanish version ....... WOWWW. What I love about Gloria Estefan is the emotion she can put in a song as if she can make the lyrics come to life and in Spanish it almost doubles the effect. Also the last word "adios" she almost screams out is more emotional loaded then her English version "goodbye".

Yo vivi en Palm Beach County, Florida, a finales de los '80's. En el bus de la escuela ponían la estación de radio que tocaban música de Gloria Estefan, en inglés. En una visita a México escuché que cantaba las mismas canciones, pero es español!! Wow, quedé anonadado. Siempre la admiré que hablaba muy bien el español, a pesar que el idioma de EEUU, es el inglés. (Claro, Miami, es otro mundo) Soy mexicano y sigo en Florida.

Esta canción es tan hermosa, siempre que la escucho me da nostalgia y ganas de llorar, se siente cada palabra de esta canción como una caricia en el alma. Me hace anhelar un amor con ese nivel de dulzura y comprensión, si tan solo fuera mas fácil encontrar a alguien así.

A mí esta canción me hace recordar las muchas veces que le pedí al hombre que estaba conmigo en ese momento que se vaya, que no podíamos estar juntos porque me hacia mucho daño, a pesar que lo quería. Pensé que lo habia olvidado cuando no me cuidó y dejó que me pasen cosas malas. Todo sentimiento y recuerdo se esfumó como por "arte de magia". Después de mas de un año, con la intención de "reencontrarnos", y decirnos lo que no dijimos, se volvió a portar mal conmigo.

Cuando era niño, esta canción me transmitía tanta nostalgia. Realmente podía conectarme con la tristeza. Recuerdo que pensaba: pero soy un niño, no tengo pareja, ni sé qué es el amor. Hoy me doy cuenta de que así de poderosa es la música, cuando la interpretación es tan intensa como la de Gloria acá, es capaz de tocar nuestras fibras. Cada que regreso a escucharla me sigue pasando lo mismo, pero ahora con más recuerdos de personas que pasaron por mi vida.
